Did you know lions were an endanger species? Lions are being killed with diseases. Can you believe anybody want to do that? They used to live in Asia and Africa and now only in Africa. There is not so many left. There is only 23,000 left in Africa. Hunters kill them to protect there sheep and other animals.
We are trying to protect lions, like taking them to the zoo and more. Imagine how bad it would be that when you are older we wont have those amazing animals. Explain what we could do to protect those beautiful animals.
I think that people should try to save them because they are very interesting to me and I wouldn't want them to be gone forever.

I did not realize that lions were on the endangered species list. You have written a very informative article. We will have to think long and hard about how to help them survive. They need big spaces and we need to be sure humans are safe from them.
Did you know that lions sleep as much as 19 hours a day? Lions are the only big cats to live and hunt in family groups, called prides. I find group names fascinating like a gaggle of geese, a flock of lambs, and herd of horses. Do you know any other group names for animals? Here's a link to help you in your search:
