Today Kent and I are going to simulate an interview with our teacher (see title). It will consist of 10 questions with what we think the answers are. Maybe I can compare our answers to our teachers. At the end we will add a disclaimer with the interview. We learned about them in class today and I have read many of them. Well here is our simulated interview. I hope the questions Kent and I (Emily) are helpful for you if you ever do an interview.
Kent and Emily's Interview with Mrs.Barandiaran
Kent and Emily:When you started teaching did you have to make any sacrifices to work?
Mrs.Barandiaran: Yes, when I started teaching I had to give up spending time with my husband and my family.
Kent and Emily: Why did you choose to become a teacher?
Mrs.Barandiaran: The reason I did was because I love kids. I thought teaching would be the best for me.
Kent and Emily: Did you always look forward to the next day of teaching?
Mrs.Barandiaran: Yes, everyday I do, but Friday I look forward to the best 'cause I can go home.
Kent and Emily: Have you ever felt sorry for a student who was failing school?
Mrs.Barandiaran: Of course I would, I really try hard to help them, but in the end I give them the grade they make.
Kent and Emily: Did you ever get tired of working?
Mrs.Barandiaran: Why would I say no? People always get tired.
Kent and Emily: Do you sometimes regret being a teacher?
Mrs.Barandiaran: Yes sometimes I have, sometimes it has been so stressful, I could burst out with anger.
Kent and Emily: When you were young, did you ever dream of teaching?
Mrs.Barandiaran: When I was in fourth grade I had a dream that I was teaching fifth graders and they smiled the whole time.
Kent and Emily:How many years did you stay in college?
Mrs.Barandiaran: I stayed in 4-5 years in college. It was hard work.
Kent and Emily: Which grade did you want to teach first?
Mrs.Barandiaran: Really I wanted to do fifth, but any grade is fine with me.
Kent and Emily:When you were in school, did any teacher inspire you to teach?
Mrs.Barandiaran: Actually my fifth grade teacher did.
