War On People
Can war change your life when it is on the other side of the world?
Well, for many people it has. Jessica Georgenton of Atlanta, Georgia had planned to visit Vietnam over the spring break, but her fears of the war kept her back home.
War & terrorism are forcing thousands of Americans to change their spring breaks. Many people are reluctant to go to the Middle East because of war. People are also choosing to drive rather than fly to their destinations because of possible terrorism on planes.
People now are usually going to other places in the U.S. and Caribbean. But some people even thought those places are safe. Julie Silver delayed her trip to New York and went to Universal Studios instead.
People think terrorism is everywhere. They buy duct tape to seal their doors and windows. But Julie said,Try not to be paranoid. You try to think there is a greater chance of being hit by a bus, but it still makes you nervous. That apprehensiveness, it is not worth it
Now think about the war. It is not like it is at your front door.
Soon we will probably be scared to leave to get our mail. Then we might become too scared to be in our homes.
If we give into fear, terrorism has won, wherever war is.
