It was a nice day outside and my friend from college was home for Thanksgiving break. We had just come home from the flea market and we had bought new bebe guns. I walked inside my house and opened up the blinds. When I looked out the window, I saw ducks flying around close to the water in my pond. At that moment in time, a muse popped into my head. I asked my friend Ken if he wanted to go hunting. He gladly said yeah and grabbed the new air soft guns from the back of his car. We loaded the two new guns up and the electric air soft gun i already had. I also grabbed a knife just for some extra protection. Ken and I made a plan that we would sneak down to the lake and find the ducks I had seen earlier. After that he would start shooting at them, then I would grab a baby chickk, and we would run off inside. After we made the plan, we went down to the the lake. It took a while to get withing range of the ducks because they kept getting in the water and swiming to the other side. Eventually though, the ducks got out of the pond and started walking up a hill towards the street. When i saw them, I knew we had them. Ken and I sneaked towards them now that they were on the street. POP, POP, POP. Ken started shooting and the ducks started squawking. They tried to go back to the ponds but we had them trapped. I ran in towards the chick to grab one, but on of the parent ducks attacked. It took flight and started flying right towards me. I hit a juke move and got past it but it turned around, so I passed the chicks and ran in my backyard but the duck still was following. "Ken, what are you doing? Shoot it before it bites my head off," i shouted extravagantly. By this time, I had pulled out the knife I had. I then turned around and jumped on the fround. When I hit the ground, I could see the duck coming right above my head and then hit the ground behind me. When I saw the other parent duck flying in my direction, I got up and ran towards my house. This one did not follow me this time though. I looked back once and it was flying towards the other duck. I ran inside and waited for Ken. He ran in the door a few seconds later huffing and puffing. After he and I caught our breaths we looked at each other and started cracking up laughing. I promised right then that I would never mess with those ducks again. It's a shame that I don't always keep my promises though.
