       INTELLIGENT DESIGN

    Intelligent design is the theory that the earth and all the universe were created by an "intelligent being". This intelligent being formed the universe and every detail in it, including cells, atoms, nuclei, your mom, my mom, all the moms in the world, and each and every thing there is. This intelligent designer is often viewed as an architect of sorts, creating multiple dimensions, levels, and structures in our universe. The laws of thermodynamics often come into play, stating that everything tends towards disorder. The example; If you used a room every day, and never cleaned it for a year, it wouldn’t be prearranged in some special order, it would be chaos. Things do not gradually get organized, in no sense is this possible, all things eventually become a calamity of sorts if you do not clean the area, and rearrange the items.

Does Rage Lead To Tragedy?

     Our class is reading the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet; we have to pick a question and then answer it as we explore further into the great Shakespearean play.

     Does rage always lead to tragedy? Rage can mostly often lead to tragedy. Tragedy always seems to be preceded by rage, and rage is often done because of irrational thoughts. Irrational thoughts are often connected with Love. Love is often the source of all tragedy, so there is a trinity of sorts. Love, Rage, Tragedy. A LOVE triangle, per say. Anywho... Love is a tragic, wonderful, magical, hateful, monsterous, amazing, evil, mysterious, vile, gorgeous, demonic thing. Love can either be great, or disasterous is what i'm really getting at, and if it is not treaded with caution, it can take you away in it's strong, turbulent waters. So as I was saying, love is bad, love is good, love makes people mad, and that is why both Romeo and Juliet are dead. The End.

    

On Evolution, Creationism, and Whatever The Other One Was

    After reading the 14 posts on Creationism, Intelligent Design, and Evolution, I found that my eyes were opened to a bigger picture. There are different views on this one subject, like the comment made by Berek M on Smith's Language blog, who stated that evolution was a religion. I also found that some of the students believed in multiple subjects, and chose not to favor one over the other.

   Personally, I believe that all these are possibilities and all should be considered. There is a way that all three could have occured, so favoring one over another is not on my...agenda. I am a religious person, but am not shutting off the idea of evolution. I believe that both work simultaniously, in the seven days of creation of the earth, there were dinosaurs and God was perfecting his planet. God had looked down on earth and went, "No,No,No,No..." and had zapped all the dinosaurs dead. Yep. So God being the all-mighty being that he is, and be the ultimate creater decided that earth needed new life. So he made, me, you, and all of the above.

The Environment and Your Vehicle

Today, as I browsed the internet I found some very amazing vehicles, like the Toyota Prius, which it's pre vious model had gotten 34-35 MPG but now the 2008 model gets 48 MPG, and since it is a hybrid

your car can share a symbiotic relationship with the environment, so now it is like...Your car and the environment :-). This car is spectacular...plain and simple.(Click on the image above to see it in full)

What's In Your Water?

   When you are drinking out of the creek in your backyard, do you think about what's in it? Well, I do, that is why I don't drink out of the water in the creek in my backyard. This is because of all the bio-waste that is deposited into the creek through run-off, and just by animals answering to the call of nature right in the middle of that good ol' creek. That's the only thing you would think about when the option to drink out of that creek in your backyard, right? Well let me tell you something, humans pollute that water ten times more than any bio-waste from animals, waste from Sewage Plants, or from companies disposing of harmful chemicals into a body of water,or just that trash that you throw on the ground. Pollution from humans is a major problem, because we cause very harmful affects to the water, our wildlife is dying. You can stop the problem, throw away your trash and do your part to help the cause.

Why It Matters

     Have you ever given the pure white paper that you use on a daily basis a second thought? After you have read this article, I bet you will be more aware of how that single sheet of paper affects you, your family, and the world around you.

     Paper production is made with millions of gallons of chemicals, like chlorine. These chemicals are dumped into oceans and streams so that disposal of these chemicals is not costly for the paper company. The chemicals act in a way that is similar to a pandemic, it spreads, killing animals and plants that thrive off this water source, as well as polluting the water we are so dependent upon. With major droughts in the southeast United States, having a fresh water source is essential. If paper production mills don't start taking measures to help keep the water clean, there may be no available fresh water sources to pull water from.

     Not only are paper mills polluting water, but their also cutting down mass amounts of trees. The forests suffer; wildlife and plant life alike, as well as the human population. "How are we affected," you may as, I will tell you, we lose the precious oxygen producing plant life that we need, as well as a change in the terrain.

    So you tell me, do you still think that pretty, pearly white paper is so simple now?
