Now it's time to take a look at some blogs. This will give us an idea of some approaches to blogging about issues. We also will learn as we go and get ideas and brainstorm about our focus.
Preview some of the links below. Be thinking about the following questions as you browse:
- Is the purpose of the blog stated somewhere on the page?
- Can you determine who the author is?
- As you view the blogger's posts can you detect any bias?
- What sorts of information is the blogger reading or citing?
- Is the information updated on a somewhat regular basis?
- What do you find appealing? Unappealing?
After we view some of these blogs we'll talk about commenting. Can't wait to begin tomorrow!

Welp, this is what I learned:
Rivers are becoming sewages all over. It is up to us to try and avoid this by being aware and giving time and money. Today, most cast a leery eye at our natural swimming holes-under the often-correct assumption that these rivers are filled with water-born bacteria and viruses far more dangerous than any water moccasin.
Yup, that's a good summary.

“Victory! - Starbucks really does L-O-V-E us”
From this article on a website link found on this blog, I learned that Starbucks coffee shops have decided to use milk that doesn’t have any artificial hormones. These hormones have been banned in several countries including Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and all 25 countries of the European Union. The name of this hormone is called rBGH, and it can be filled with toxins that may be harmful for your body.
Through efforts of the "Hold the Hormones" Campaign 2006, Starbucks have agreed to stop using milk with hormones in it. This blog was appealing to me because I love learning about places I go and eat or do other things.

Peace and water both have surface tension, and if you put too much pressure on it, it will break. The thing is, the cause of this pressure is the water itself, because the segregation between the rich and the poor has really been emphasized in many areas of the world. If it weren't for pollution, people would not have to make water such a political issue. I think that is it...yep.

I really enjoyed learning about how to blog today and i really look forward to it! I learned about hoe many countries have to work hard for just a little bit of water and we waste ours and pollutes the water supply with sewage. We should try to make people more aware of the problems of polluting the water and try to stop the polluting and wasting.

My name is Tanner and today in class we learned a lot about how people affect the environment in bad ways and in good ways. Some bad ways are by polluting the water with trash or sewage. The good ways are fixing the previous problems by cleaning up the environment.

While looking for blogs, I found a few about the well project that our academic team is considering raising money for. In Rwanda, many people do not have a clean source of water in their communities. Some have to walk many miles a day just to get a bucket of water from a swampy, dirty water source. An organization called Fermi Project is raising money to put fresh water wells those communities. For $3000, 750 people in Rwanda will recieve a clean water source from those wells. Since our team project is about watershed, I felt that this was a way we could get involved and help. I researched the Fermi Project, and I found a lot of information about contacting the organization and how we can send in the money that we raise. I am looking forward to get more involved in this.

Hi!!! This is Gabriella aka Gabby. While reading the articles I learned that people who vacation by a creek usually use the creek as a dumping site. They don't realize that they are turning the creek into a home for trash. But the blogger of the article spent last month with other caring citizens helping him clean up this creek. He hopes that people will wake up and realize that the creek is apart of nature and not meant for dumping trash!!!!!! COME ON PEOPLES SAVE THE CREEK DONT DESTROY IT!!!!

One blog I read was about how one voice could make peace throughout the world. It has a great meaning. I don't think that this is based scientific studies but it has a great moral and meaning. What is so cool about it is that it can be true. Everybody should read this blog. That is it for today.

I have been reading blogs about things that have to do with nature.Today I have learned more things about what is going on in other places. I learned about how a town in California doesn't have any water. They are trying to get a new, updated water system. I also learned about the Preserve America Grant Program. <3

We read articles about water and I read one about removing a dam in Pennsylvania to build a park around the river. I think that it's good to take out old dams if it helps the fish and the community. It's important for communities to preserve nature around them.

Today we read blogs about water in class. I read a story about a community in Oregon redoing a dam in a river. The new dam had the community's support because it was healthier for the river. I think the dam was a good idea because it seemed healthier for the river that it was in. In my class, we are getting ready to learn about our county's water. I look foward to learning about my county's water so if something bad does arise, I may be able to help.

My name is Saige. Today, my class started a class blog. We were all suppost to read a professional blog so we would understand how to blog. I read the blog about having healthy rivers. I think that it's good to have the awarness of the environment around us. Reading this blog made me think about all the rivers around us, and how beautiful they could be if we just took the time to clean them up.If we did, i think that it would bring good long term effects to our communities. Sure we do have a lot of water on Earth, but if none of it's clean, what good is it?

My name is Jessica. Today we started a class blog. The blog I read about American Rivers was very informative. Cleaning up rivers in Arizona was very appealing because everyone who goes to a river or anywhere outdoors should be able to enjoy themselves, and not have to sit in a pile of garbage. If their were rivers like that where i live then I would try and help clean it up by asking my friends to join.

Hi! My name is Raina. Today is my first blog! It was very exciting! I never knew about all the problems with water going on in the world today. I didn't know that people in different countries are only allowed a certain amount of water.People have been getting sick from contaiminated water. The sewage pipes are being directed into lakes, streams, or other bodies of water. In many states culverts are being removed from streams. The culverts were preventing fish from traveling downstream. People need to conserve water, so others don't have to have resricted water supply.

Hello, my name is Kristen. I have learned a lot today. I learned about a lot of water issues all over the world. I learned that some people have to fight for water, and that Italy is trying to allow everyone to have the same amount of equal rights to water. Also that some people in the world are drinking contaminated water. This is causing a lot people to get sick. In particularly the children are really getting sick. People are having meetings to stop this problem. People are trying to get other people to drink gorundwater, because it is the healthiest type of water. While I was reading the blogs, the majority of the information that I read was pretty much true. All most all of the information I read I have heard before. I also could identify who the arthur was in all of the blogs I read. Some of the blogs even said where the person is from. There are many ways to help protect water. Some ways are don't leave the water running, keep rivers clean, and try to us wells to get water from.

My name is Meagan, and today my class started a blog. We went to different blogs and learned some interesting information about water. I learned what others are doing to clean water. I also learned that water is not as abundant anymore and people need to take action to help conserve the water. Reading the blogs made me think more about this situation and what I can do to help.

Heehee, my name is Jordyn!
Today, I read a few interesting blogs that contained many facts about water and its influence on the world - as well as our influence on aqua and its results. Many humans in this world don't understand the quality of water and the significance of purity. Tainting water is just another action meaning you don't care about the Earth and her inhabitants. To me, that's just disrespectful.
So... D0n't D0 1t!!
