Girl Scout Camp - MIW

On page 229, the author discusses what happens to the land that used to be Camp Green Lake after the attorney general shut the camp down.  It says, "The Attorney General closed Camp Green Lake.  Ms. Walker [The Warden] who was in desperate need of money, had to sell the land which had been in her family for generations.  It was bought by a national organization dedicated to the well-being of young girls.  In a few years, Camp Green Lake will become a Girl Scout camp."

How funny is that!!  Throughout the entire story, Mr. Sir had been telling the boys that "This wasn't Girl Scout camp."  How ironic that's what it is going to be!  This made me laugh, what do you girls think?

Introduction-JLW

This is our first entry using EduBlog. Half of our group is designing the site this morning, and the other members will refine the page later today. We will be discussing a few chapters of our Newbery Award winning book several times a week.
