In celebration of perfect attendance through the two weeks of CRCT testing, the PTA provided pizza for everyone! The cafeteria was filled with studious and diligent students enjoying cheese pizza. Thank you PTA for such a treat and thank you students for all of your hard work!
284 students celebrated their perfect attendance for the month of March with 20 minutes of outside "free" play! While the students enjoyed the company of their friends and the beautiful weather, they played on the equipment and began practicing for Field Day as Mrs. Hooper led them in races!
The third graders really had fun learning all about dinosaurs, frogs, and insects at the Fernbank Museum. They saw 3-story tall dinosaur skeletons, an exhibit on frogs around the world, and watched the movie "Bugs!" on the big IMAX screen!
Anne Davis of Georgia State University is working with staff and students at J.H. House Elementary School in Conyers, Ga. to explore the use of Web logs as teaching and communication tools. This current project, the Write Weblog, features individual blogs written by students, teachers, the school counselor, even the principal! All the participants comment on each other's posts-an excellent example of how members of a school community can share ideas electronically.
Thank you Mrs. Davis for helping us become a "blogging" community at JH House!
All of you looked fabulous at our Candlelight Lunch on Friday, March 25th! Students were dressed in their finest attire as they practiced excellent manners and ate by candlelight. Our cafeteria looked like "Eagle's Landing Restaurant" instead of a school cafe!
Thank you Mrs. Hayslip and cafeteria staff for providing such a wonderful lunch. We appreciate all that you do!
234 students are sporting new Shrek watches for having Perfect Attendance in the month of February. These students fought off the colds and illnesses and made it here every day all day long. Keep it up!
