The Million Watch

Last week Mrs. Davis read us an article about an invention in the future. She wanted us to write about an invention that could be invented.

                 The Million Watch.

How would you like a watch that could do a million things in one place? Well now you can. My invention is called the Million Watch because it can do a million things. This watch can do the kitchen, clean the close, do your homework,ect. all by radio-active. This  watch will be out on sale for $1000 in 2030 because it is really new. If you want to know why its coming out late this is why."Because us inventers and scientist have to do more reasearch to make them," they say. So if you want to see what it looks like here it is!

What a Good Leader Is

Hello. Mrs.Davis wanted to invite everyone in our little group, if we can, to go to Georgia Railroad Freight Depot on January14,2003 for a Leadership Appreciation Night hosted by GSU. Mrs.Davis asked us to brainstorm how a leader would act. This is what I think a leader should act.   

 1.A leader should have a powerful voice.

2. A leader should be kind to others

3.A leader should have responsibility

4.A leader should not be shy

5. A leader must be trustworthy and not lie

Now you know how I think a leader should be. 

Mosquitoes Worst Enemy!

Christine Haas, 14, is scratching to destroy the mosquitoes that live in her neighborhood in Sanger, California. She spent three years creating a natural mosquitoe posion made of buckeye, a local plant around. It's made to kill mosquitoes but noy even harm other animals. On October 23, she won a $15,000 scholarship, and also was named Americas Top Scientist of the year. Christine Haas says, " I was just too shocked"!

Questions to Ponder

In a small town of Norway, they have a small whale problem.  People there are fans of the whale because he is the star of "Free Willy" which is really Keiko.  Colin Braid said that people need to stay away from Keiko.  He needs to hunt and survive on his own. So Colin Braid and his crew try to free Keiko, but it seems like Keiko does not want to go.

 

Can Keiko survive on his own ?

 

In the University of California, Berkleyand Lewis and Clark College in Portland Oregon researchers have solved a mystery.  They have not only discovered the geckos ability to stick to the walls they've copied it!  Scientist say that geckos don't use special glue or suction, it's geometry.  "We have solved the mystery of how geckos use millions of hairs to stick to things, "scientist say.

 

How does geometry work on geckos?

 

At high schools and middle schools in the world some boys and girls walk home.  Some students even cross the streets when trucks and cars, and vans are going by.  People say that boys have more risk of being hit !
