The school year is about to end. It it flew by like lightning. I wish it would never end , but it will have to. I will miss blogging because of all the stuff we learned and admired. It was like yesterday that I was writing my first post. That is why I will miss webloging. It helps me a lot in writing. Now I know to make my writing clear and add vivid vocabulary. This is important to me because of all the writing I progressed during the weblog group. Really in my heart I wish weblogs will be in Middle School next year.
Maybe you could suggest to one of your teachers next year that they let you blog. Then you could help your teacher learn about blogging the way Mrs. Davis helped you. Wouldn't that be fun?

Don't worry your writing fun doesn't have to stop here. I have found that writing in a journal is a great way to circulate ideas and just vent your thoughts. Another great way to continue learning more vocabulary is to read. Find a book you've always wanted to read or maybe a book that later became a movie like Lord of the Rings. You can record new words you discover in your journal. Have fun, and trust me you will be glad you did it after you shock all your teachers with what you learned.

You're right- having a choice makes a big difference! I hope you have learned that you DO haves choices in your education. Writing a weblog or in a journal is a great way to record your thoughts and keep up with all the new things you learn. Even if keeping a weblog isn't required in Middle School, you can continue to write on your own, and keep those ideas flowing!

Jonathan,
You seem to share a feeling of sadness about seeing the year end with many of your classmates, but don't worry because I have a feeling that you will have many more opportunities to blog in the future. It's great that you have been able to use blogging to improve your writing and to use more vivid language. Congratulations! Best of luck next year.

I am so happy to find your blog and to hear how it has helped your writing. I am about to start one with the students I work with. I want their writing to have "wings". I will show them this blog for sure!
