Welcome!
Welcome to the Classroom Management that Works weblog. The purpose of the weblog is to introduce you to a new tool that can be used in many ways in today's classrooms. Weblogs focus on content and are easy to make and publish quickly. We will use the weblog to encourage discussion and share ideas on classroom management.
Mrs. Jordan I think we should be able to post our assignements on this website....like our mindmaps and study questions.

Weblogs present many possibilities for use in the classroom. I am considering using a weblog during my classroom placement in the Netherlands to communicate with a classroom here in the States.

The weblog tech class has been so informative. I think it would be great to use this tool during student teaching to get feedback from my students on what they like and dislike. I think it would be a great tool for my own classroom one day as well!

Hey Mrs. Jordan,
I have done something similar to this before, and I agree that blogs present great opportunities within the classroom. I think this is a great way to communicate with the students and parents. I also like how they mentioned the use of blogs with literature circles. We just talked about them on Monday and I can see how blogs would be a great way to get the students to communicate with each other on a central theme.
Good workshop, see you next week.

Mrs. Jordan,
I am so glad that we were able to learn about Weblogs. I can't wait to use this with my class when I student teach and beginning teaching in my own classroom. I think this is a great way for parents to see what their children are doind and writing in the classroom. I also think this would be a great way for students to talk to each other and other classes about different projects/activities they are working on in class.

Hi Mrs. Jordan,
I love all the great ideas presented in the weblog technology class! I especially like the opportunity for students to make suggestions regarding classroom instruction. I feel student input is the best way to keep lessons engaging and interesting for all involved.

Mrs. Jordan,
I think this technology session on weblogs was very informative. I think this form of technology would be very useful in creating writers' logs. Students could be given a topic to focus on during their assigned readings to write about.

Mrs. Jordon,
I think that web logs could be fun, especially with the older kids. I know that in my experience thus far, children in fourth and fifth grades love to express their opinions, and this would be a controlled way for them to do so.
