Researcher pours plaster down anthill

Now we have had more fun with this picture and I got several questions about it in class yesterday. They were questions that I did not know the answer to but they got me wondering. One of you wanted to know exactly how the scientist used the plaster. How did it work? How did they get this study done? You were curious about so many things.

I plan to show you how I went about finding the answer. But for now I have a challenge for you. See if you can answer some of the questions you asked by looking through the article. I warn you that it is quite long but don't let that put you off. I found out some fascinating things. You will too!  Have fun! Use the comments feature here to post answers. Any other classes want to join in, feel free! Here is the article link.

Now blogicians you know that we are researching about blogging and how it affects your literacies. Aren't you glad that we didn't have to use plaster in our research? For those who interpret things literally this is an attempt at humor.  :-)

Can't wait to see you tomorrow!

What fun!

It looks like many students from Mr. Powell's class are having fun with pictures with us. Mr. Powell is an English teacher at St. Georges Technical High School in Middletown, Delaware. His class is having conversations about writing and literature. Check out these comments. Don't you love it when other classes join in? Blogging is interactive and engaging in so many ways. I can't wait for you to read their thoughts. Then you will share yours! Think of all the ways we have learned with pictures this year. Visuals really help our learning. I will post what the picture actually is later this morning (after we have fun guessing and sharing our thoughts, of course). What fun!

Emmy's Quip

Teachersprincipal

Emmy provided some humor about this delightful picture of Mrs. B, your principal, and Mrs. A.  She quipped that’s what happens to technology teachers (on left), that’s how the principal looks in the morning (center photo), and that’s how the classroom teacher looks at the end of the day. (on right). Yep, laughter synthesizes learning. Check out this post, Kid's Voices,  where I let other edubloggers know  how well Emmy and Jhonny represented the blogicians at the legislative event. Then enjoy this podcast where  Emmy and Jhonny are interviewed by Mrs. C.
