"Let's Think" Ch. 4 P.A.-T.

The following questions are from Chapter four in the book.

When did Julian first become nervous about Ginger getting the part in the play?

Can you explain what is meant by "one for the price of two" when Julian says it?

What questions would you ask in an interview with Julian after reading the part on the doggie treats?

What motive is there for the boys to get Ginger to eat the doggie treats?

Can you predict the outcome if Hamilton Knapp's mother figures out what is in the doggie treats?

Do you agree with the actions of Julian to reveal to Hamilton Knapp that he was aware of the doggie treats?

Nadia's Summer Trip with Her Father Chapter 2

Page 47

It was obvious that it was Margaret who had made possible my mother's leaving my father.  Margaret diamondstein, formerly Draper, helped my mother move to New York.  She move turtles from one nest to antoehr.  She moved Grandpa Izzy out of Century Village.  And now, she was helping my father get permitted.  By next turtle season, she will be helping him more to the beach.  Margaret Diamondstein, formly Draper, was an interfering person.

Do you feel that Margaret is intentionally being a moving person or is she really trying to help?  Is she selfish?  Do you agree with her actions to not deal with Margaret anymore?  Why did she agree to help save the sea turtles at the end of Chapter 2?

What can you tell me about Ch. 4 ? - C.S.

Pgs. 94-118

Knowledge: On page 94 Mrs. Olinski describes herself as a paraplegic. What is a paraplegic?

Comprehension: In your own words please explain how Mrs. Olinski can stand on her own two feet based on the information on page 97.

Application: On page 99 Julian explains how the Holiday season relates to Americans. He explains how the season starts with Thanksgiving and ends with New Year's Day. Knowing that Thanksgiving is on November 21st and New Year's Day is on January 1st, how many days are thier between them?

Analysis: What evidence can you find in Ch. 4, page 100, that justifies why Ginger is not perfet for the part as Sandy in the play, "Annie"?

Synthesis: How would things have been different if Arnold's dog got the part as Sandy and Nadia's dog had been the runner up?

Evalutaion: Why was it better for Julian to keep Hamilton's scheme to harm Ginger to himself?
