Procrastination won’t help you become a better writer. When you first start writing it’s easy to say you’ll write tomorrow and play today. And when you become a professional, paid writer it’s even easier to procrastinate and say you’ll do your assignment later. Not smart. The second you get an assignment get right to work on it (even if it’s just an outline). I agree with this person because I had an assignment and I said that I was going to do it later. Then it was the last day and the next day was weblogs and I had forgot the assignment! But then I remembered that my friend Estefany was in Weblogs so I called her and asked her what the assignment was and I did not get kicked out of weblogs! You can look at this tip at Tips For Young Writers.
You have a great point! It is always best to do your assignment and not procrastinate. Many times, if you procrastinate, you will end up trying to do your work at the last minute and it can take twice as long to do. You can also work on your writing a little at a time and that way you don't have to do it all at once and it doesn't take as long. You are a great writer Adrieana and you are absolutely right about not procrastinating. Keep up the good work!!

I really struggle with procrastination yet...and I'm in law school. However, you are 100% correct, and the outline idea is always the best place to start. The hardest part is getting started. Once you get the ball rolling, everything else will fall into place.
Love the blogging!

Adrieana,
Boy are you right about procrastination. It is so easy to say, "I'll just do that tomorrow." But I know that wrting every day is what makes me a better writer. Thanks for the tip.

Adrienna,
Your experience with procrastination is one that nearly every student can relate to. Even when I am excited about an assignment I sometimes find myself reluctant to start the real work of writing. It IS work, as you are discovering.
Adding a "resource" (the link)to information that backs up your comments and hints about conquering procrastination is quite impressive. This extra bit of work will serve you well as you start writing more complex papers such as research papers and argumentative papers.
Do you find that blogging can sometimes get you "warmed us" as a writer and that it makes it easier to work on a paper? It seems like it might. When I don't want to write I often sit down and just start writing about my frustrations, and before I know it I am working on my project!
