Think about weblogs

I have learned so many interesting things in the weblog group. So far it has been very cool , and amazing !!!!!  You would not think of what we could do with them. I would love to see weblogs being used in other schools not just J.H.House ,also in middle schools and high schools. Next year I'm going to middle school and since I love weblogs I think they should try to have weblogs.I think middle school students would love to type about current events that are happening around the world.A weblog is like a journal where you write current events and other things you would like to share with other people. Can you think of writing something really cool that people around the world would love to read? You could also add pictures in your post that you draw or take. ( How cool is that!!!) While people are in weblogging they also learning to use describing words . We write our opinions about the current events we write about. If some schools want their students to learn even more they should use weblogs.

Baby 81

Hi, my name is Alejandra. Would you believe a baby survived the terrible tsunami? Well one baby did. The baby turned out to be safe. He was called the 81 baby because he was the 81 person to be found after the tsunami. He is only 3 months old. After he was found a couple said it was their son .  They did  a DNA test to see the truth. It turned out to be truth. Know the baby is with his parents.

White Tigers

Did you hear about the White Tigers? They are endangered animals . They are one of the most endangered species. They are getting better after six white Bengal tigers were born in Argentina. There were three boys and three girls. They were born in November and their weight is 6 to 13 pounds. They are really small right now but they would grow 7 feet long or more. In Asia there is only 210 white tigers left after they were hunted. The tigers parents, by having cubs, are helping the world so there would be more tigers. They also had triplets 18 months ago. Did you know  tigers having six cubs is rare? The zoo is going to let some students going to visit the zoo name some cubs.  I love those animals and would not want to see them go.

What I Have Learned

Guess what? My weblog group is so amazing. My teacher in the weblog group( Mrs.Davis) taught us a lot of things. For example at the start of class we wrote our first post and she helped us. We also learned where to go to post them. We later wrote and drew a drawing to go with our post. We later somehow put the drawing on our weblog. That was cool!!!!!! I like the post I did about the movie of the Incredibles. I liked it because I love movies and writing about them was a piece of cake. I think it turned out good.I have to hear my classmates opinions on it. I also liked the post on Endangered species.I got comments on it. Mrs. Davis showed us a lot of stuff. For example to use descriptive words and how to actually blog. She also showed us how to post and to read everything we write.  When we write our weblogs we try our best to not make a mistake.  I wrote a post to a teacher to be. I wrote tips for them and gave them examples. They wrote us back. I was SO excited. I later wrote a post to my friend Ashley. She had a really bad car accident and we wrote comments on her post.I actually like all of my posts so far. Weblogging is cool.

Ashley's Post

Today I read a great post by my friend Ashley called Spilling the Beans.

That was  great! I think she really explained what spilling the beans means. I feel the same way about my little brother spilling the beans like she does about her little brother. She did a good explanation.

Learning To Blog

Today we got in the class and Mrs. Davis said to check our weblogs. When I saw it, it was a big surprise. Some students who are going to be teachers left all of us a comment. We read it and then we wrote back. Later we checked out their weblogs. To bad that we couldn't read all of them. They were amazing. After that we blogged. We went to WORD and copied a part we liked about their blog and pasted. Later we wrote the URL and we wrote what we liked about it. It was cool.

For example:

                                     teacher-to-be-(Cara)

Since I eventually plan on teaching fifth grade, I took Alejandra's tips as useful information that I will be sure to use when I get my chance to stand up in front of my own class.

                                   Alejandra-(me)

I think you are going to do well with your class. You got a lot of

good information. And you will use it well.

Dear Teacher-to-Be

I heard you want to be a teacher. That's great. You knew we needed really good teachers. Well, hi! My name is Alejandra and I'm in the fifth grade. I also heard you were going to be a technology teacher.I love technology. It's really interesting. I wanted to give you some tips on being a teacher that I learned from my former teachers.

When you teach you have to be prepared which means to know what to do. You got to teach smart things. But you have to think what your students need help on or what they don't know. You have to get along with them. For example, you should know what they can do and can't do. I have a 5th grade teacher who knows all those things. She knows her students very well, She gets along with them and she teaches very well. You could teach with things that interest them. For example when I started 5th grade I thought I as going to be bored but Mrs. Mateling started making  prizes for good grades. You could try that. I'm not saying you stink or anything I am just trying for you to make your teaching better.

Downloading Music

Did you know that downloading music is illegal? Well, it is like stealing. People are trying to stop this. So 1,600 schools want these lessons for their students. They would be eleven to fourteen years old. Most of the music that got downloaded was from twelve year olds. So they wanted to talk to them a lot because the music has to be paid for what it cost. If you download music that means that music companies won't have enough music which means less artists would come out.

Weblogs

Have you tried weblogging? I think it’s awesome. It’s a way to express myself. It's not even hard. Just find a subject and write. I have done mine and I loved it .It is a little nervous because a lot of people could read this. And people would see your mistakes. The weblog group is awsome! It helps making your writting better. It is making mine better. You also learn about topics in the world just by looking for a homework topic. You could write about almost anything. You could write about school and the world. Maybe you haven't tried but it's fun. At first it I did not like it that much but now I love it.
