Hello, and welcome to J.H.House Elementary School where your child is at home. Here we learn what to do while your child doesn't know what to do in class. We are always here to help you out with any question. We will assign you a student to show you what things are, where things are, and which class you will be in.
Hey, how are you doing today? O.K. This map shows you where the restrooms are and the rest of the school. You might see your teacher, and she will tell you your class schedule. Meanwhile, I will tell you what you will learn in this school. Let’s start with science, in this subject you will be learning about friction and magnetism. Also, you may do about three experiments on these subjects.I think you might enjoy this unit.
Math is another subject that you will learn at this school. Right now you are going to do fractions, to be specific equivalent fractions. If you have any problems about math you should tell your teacher and don’t be afraid to ask. All the teachers can help you out on the problems you have.
We move on to writing, in this subject you will learn the six traits of effective writing. I believe that you will write two stories in this semester. I am sure that you will improve a lot on writing and your handwriting.
Next thing on the list, social studies, in this subject you will learn about World War I through this semester. Social Studies is a really important subject in this school. You should get good grades if you pay attention.
Reading is one of the most important things that you have to pass on the CRCT test. In this subject you will learn about fact and opinion, reading strategies, and comprehension. You will be put in a lower reading group, but if you read good you will be placed on a higher reading group.
The last subject you need to understand is spelling. This subject you will get spelling words each week that you have to know how to spell by the end of the week so you can take a spelling test. If you study you should get good grades.
Then, you might do CNN, CNN is news that we watch every day in the morning. This subject will help you learn what is going around the world. You are lucky because we are the only school in Rockdale County that does CNN. This subject is really important because other students watch the news but they don't discuss what they see and listen. However, we always take notes and discuss what we saw. This subject is really important because you could learn what is happening around the world and what things are happening in space. Such as Deep Impact.
If you are chosen to be in the weblog group, man are you going to be excited. In this group you will learn about posting stories on the internet. Also, you will improve on your writing skills. If you don't like writing you should take that back because once you are in this group you will love writing. You can write about anything you want so other people can read it. Once you've done that you will get admired all around the state or even the world! This subject you got to love because you can speak out to the world and make opinions.

You did a remarkable job explaining what life was like at House for everyone Alejandro! The way you explained each of the subjects was almost perfect. I have to say almost because you did not mention Specials!
You really captured the spirit of House by saying that “your child is at home.” Our school, more than any other school I have been to really makes you feel at home! It is because all of the boys & girls of House reach out to make everyone belong. And you all really enjoy being able to show a new student the way around. The wonderful boys & girls of House are what make this place such a wonderful school. If I had to go back to school and start all over again, I would wish that I could be a student at House.
