Softball- Second Draft

   I'm passionate about softball because most of my family and their friends played it. My step dad got me into it by telling me interesting stories about when he played. I started when I was 6.                

     My first few seasons I played center field because I am really fast. My next few seasons I started playing infield because I started getting the concept of softball. It's not easy! 

     What I really love to do is bat because if  you hit the ball you get to run, and I love to run . Batting  is also difficult . You have to know when to swing and you must swing level and hard.

       Last season I played left center and second base. It was fun because my coach got kicked off the field because  he yelled at the umpire. This season I pitch and play first base. Pitching is very dangerous because your the closest one to the batter. If you get hit you could easily take a trip to the hospital. Thas why I'm passionate about softball.                  

Softball-First Draft

I'm passionate about softball because most of my family and their friends played it. When I was 6 I started to play softball.

At first I didn't know the concept of it, but when I played my second season I loved it! I played catcher, left center , and short-stop for a while cause I caught and ran good. For my next couple of years I played center field.  What I really liked to do was bat. Sometimes I would get out, or hit homeruns. Last season I played center field and second base. My coach got kicked of the field a lot! It was pretty funny. This season I pitch and its pretty difficult if you don't know what your doing. My coach says its a dangerous job cause I'm the closest one to the batter, but I manage. Thats why I'm passionate about softball, its just plain fun! 

Reflecting on High-Schooler's Weblogs

I was particularly impressed by Mallory and Claire's comments because they expressed how they felt about the other person's writings. Kristen's also got my attention when she talked about Amelia's interview request. All of the writings were tempting for someone to read.

I think I could learn to expand my vocabulary and use more descriptive words.

Alligators & Crocodiles

Alligators and crocodiles are not the same. Alligators have short fat snouts and crocodiles have long skinny snouts. They both carry their babies in their mouths! Both lay eggs and are called reptiles. They spend most of their time in the water. They are prehistoric animals. All alligators and crocodiles live for a pretty long time. They eat medium sized animals like deer and zebras. To get food they attack and sink their teeth into the animal's flesh. They try to drown the dead animal and come up out of the water to swallow.
