The Final Post!

Today is the last day of webloging. It is so sad that we have to leave. We have learned so much this year. Now it is all going to end ( I mean the learning new things ). Weblogging has brought me far this year. We have an amzing teacher Mrs. Davis. She is a teacher at Georgia State University.

We made a book of tips. It is called The Blooming T.A.G. Machine. I enjoyed making the book. It is on powerpoint.

I learned how to hyperlink, powerpoint, to use vivid words, don't use the same word over again, and many more things.

I really enjoyed this year. Farewell my fellow students!

Bringing My past into the Future !!

At the beginning of the year I really didn' t like writing. Now it is still boring but, I do enjoy it. I didn' t know the first thing about blogging. I was so confused. Yet, it always gets a little better.

This year we learned some pretty amazing things.  I learned how to do hyperlink, take away overwrite, and some more things.

In the future I think blogs should take place in a child's life. Us kids don' t like writing but, we have to do it in order to get far in life. Our kids won' t like writing either but, we have to encourage them. Blogging should go on forever. It helped me and you. So it can help everyone.

We can put daily thoughts, weekly thoughts, or weekend thoughts. Blogging is a clean ways for your kids to express theirselves and if you are a kid it is good for you, too. Don' t let blogging go to waste. Keep it going and alive.

What I Think About the CRCT ?

Here is what I think about all the test in the CRCT.

Science .... it was hard. I did not know some things on it.

Math ... it was so easy. I enjoyed it.

Reading .... it was easy. I knew everything on it.

Social Studies ... I thought it was so boring.

Language Arts ... I liked it. It was so easy. I knew everything.

Duff is a Amazing!

Hilary Duff writes some amazing music. I could listen to it all day. I have both of her Cd's," Metamorphosis and Hilary Duff. " (yes, she did name her CD after herself) She is so awesome.

I like her greenish-brown eyes and blonde hair.

My favorite songs by her is " Metamorphosis and Jericho. " I also enjoy " Come Clean and So Yesterday " and many more.

Hilary is my favorite singer. She has a older sister named Haily. Haily also sings. They did an Ice Breaker commercial together.

Hilary started her career on the Disney Channel. Her show was called " Lizzie McGuire. " She also starred in a Disney movie called " Cadet Kelly. "

Hilary doesn' t only sing, now she has her own movies. She stars in " Raise Your Voice, A Cindarella Story, and Agent Cody Banks. " She also made the " Lizzie McGuire Movie. " It was awesome. She dated an Italian guy. Gordo was jealous, But he helped Lizzie sneek out to go on dates. At the end of the movie Lizzie and Gordo kissed.

In Hilary' s movie " Raise Your Voice. " I cried through the WHOLE movie. She was in a car accident. Her older brother died, but she didn' t. Every time she saw a big bright light on stage she ran off. I was sooo sad, because I was in a car accident, too.

That is what I know ' now ' about Hilary Duff.

Fixing Tips

Pretend you are writing to a very important person. That is a tip I wrote. Yet, I have to bump it up, as my teacher Mrs. Davis says.   Maybe I should write a tip that says, Act like you are writng to your role model! Never be shy when it comes to writing! I like my revised version better. How about you?

Six Traits of Writing

Today I read a story from TFK and I found some sentences that shwo the six traits of writing.

                                  FIT   FOR   A    KING

The tombs of the pharaohs who ruled in ancient times are among Egypt' s most scared treasures. I think Ideas and Contents go with that sentence.

In the story it shows Organization because it tells about everything in different paragraphs.

For Word Choice the words in the story most scared treasures, sarcophagus, Ramses VI, pharaohs, and Egyptian king are very interresting.

There are ten nice and long sentences and that shows Sentence Fluency.

In the story the title talks about a king and so does the story.   That is a Convention.

Nichols Strikes!

Nichols shot and killed four people in court. He killed the judge, the officer, and the court reporter.

It is so sad. He was not even in handcuffs or shackels. That was not fair. He could have killed everybody.

After the shooting he ran. Then he held a girl hostage. I bet she was terrified.

Nichols went beside a car and when the lady got out he walked behind her. She could have called the police, but she didn't. The police still found him. He literally waved a white flag. He surrendered.

The lady, Ashley, who owned the car got him to surrender. She gave him a nice talk, because she believed in him. So, she got a wonderful $10,000 reward. Amazing, huh?

His daughter and wife were on Good Morning America. His daughter wanted to know if he had any other children. He had left her when she was a lot younger. She never thought he would do something like that.

What would you do if your dad was a killer?

Toad

To all the people that wanted to hear my poem here it is:

                                                Toad

                   I had a toad

                      He ran in the road

                             His name was Icky

                                   His girlfriends name was Vicky

                                            She had bad breath

                                                     and kissed Seth

So he never came back again!

Ashley's Tips for Writing

I read a tip from Tips For Young Writers.

Tip 3: Chop it out! Sometimes things are better left unsaid. Always check your work to be sure every word has a place and slash the ones that stick out.

I think it means like when you give too much information, people might get bored.   It gives the same information over and over again. It can sometimes be too wordy.

Here is some tips I made: Tip 1: Always use higher level thinking words from Bloom's Taxonomy and use vivid words.

Tip 2: Don't copy the same word over and over again.

Tip 3: Revise your work before reading in front of a audience.

Tip 4: Use your voice in your writing.

Tip 5: Don't write about something that bores you. It is important to enjoy your own writing.
