I'm pretty sure that most people wake up without worrying about getting in trouble for what they are wearing. Well, for one student it's another story. A student wore a t-shirt to school calling Pres.Bush an "International Tererorist!" Right off the bat most people would say that this was wrong but it is his right to wear what he wants to school. What he chose to wear was disrespectful to our President, and he got sent home from school. I love if you would send me your opinion on this topic!

Hi Brianna,
The First Amendment states that congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
I believe this covers the wearing of T-shirts and what those shirts might say, however, every citizen should be respectful even in protest. Name calling only gets in the way of what you are trying to accomplish. The civil rights movement was so effective because it was non-violent. State your case but do so respectfully.
Keep writing.
