Iraqi Update

This is the JHH newsroom live in Atlanta. Previously in Iraq there are still a lot of attacks and bombings that are injuring and killing people and the U.S. troops. France has sent a few troops to Iraq. President Bush is making a deal with Iraq and trying to establish a constitution. This is JHH newsroom. I'm Jerry and I will see you later.

Busy!

Is your life busy? Mine is in some ways because I have to do something every day of the week except Friday. In some ways my life is stressful too because sometimes I just don't have enough time to do a lot of things I need to do. But I try my hardest to do these things.

Where I'm From

For homework we wrote poems about where we are from. Before we did that we read some poems from other kids and people who had written some poems about where they're from. The first draft was just some ideas of what to write in my poem. And here are some of them.

I Am From

I am from a town with lots of traffic and business.

I am from a state that is known for its peaches.

I am from a family that travels to great lands and lakes.

I am from a mom and dad who are humorous and caring.

I am from a mom who cooks amazing dinners.

I am from a dad who loves watching football and other sports.

                       I am from great things!

Thinking and Writing Possibilities

Today we are going to talk about some posts that Mrs.Davis had written this morning. She told about how she had talked to some friends about our weblogs that we are writing. Today she read to us a post that Mr.Richardson had written about weblogs.

Another thing was that she told us how we could bump up your writing and when you write...write from your heart. On her post one thing she wrote abut was when you write, think about what you are writing.

My First Post

My names is Jerry. This is my first WEBLOG ever! I'm so excited that we finally have Weblogs and we were just learning what they are. I think that Weblogs are cool like my theme. The group has some cool Weblog themes too.See you next time!!! :)

Note from Jerry's teacher:

Jerry is a member of a group of fifth graders (ESL and native-English speaking) who are using weblogs to become better writers. The class weblog is Thinking & Writing Wrinkles.

 

The server for the blog where this site was originally hosted has become unstable. This blog has been transfered from manila software to typepad software so some transfers may not look as well as the original site did but the content written by Jerry remains the same.
