Three Good Tips

          One of the writing tips I learned so far in my class is my handwriting. In my class my teacher Ms. Mahan told me to improve in my handwriting and if I were to take a test and my handwriting was messy I would get some of the answers wrong. I would have been embarrassed and feel miserable.   Another writing tip is your punctuation. I always forgot which punctuation to use in my writing and never understood the meaning of the punctuation. Each punctuation is different and each has a different meaning.   My last writing tip is to have your own personal voice. Express your personality and have a conversation with an authur and try not to make your story so  boring that no one will like to read it. When I mean your own personal voice I mean showing expression on your writing and honoring your punctuation meaning to slow down on your writing. Don't let anyone judge you about your writing and be proud of what you wrote about.

1. NASCAR's new king of the road?
Remember Yankees 52 CC Sabathia White 2010 All Star Jerseys back when you could basically predict a Jeff Gordon win at these road course events? Ah, those sure were easier times. But, alas, they've been gone for a long while.

Gordon hasn't won on the series鈥?two road courses since 2006 at Sonoma and 2001 at Watkins Glen. As a result, NASCAR has gone a while now without a resident "King of the Road."

For example, look no farther than Sonoma. Gordon's 鈥?6 victory was the last for a driver who had previously won at the track. Since then, Juan Pablo Montoya, Kyle Busch, Kasey Kahne, Jimmie Johnson, Kurt Busch and Clint Bowyer have been one-off and first-time Sonoma winners.

The story is a bit different at Sprint Cup's other road racetrack in Watkins Glen. Marcos Ambrose is a two-time defending winner there, and Tony Stewart has three wins at the New York track since 2004.

Should Ambrose win Sunday 鈥?his Richard Petty Motorsports team dedicated a test to Sonoma earlier in the season 鈥?it would mark three wins in the last four NASCAR road course races. It wouldn't quite match Gordon, but it'd put the V8 Supercars champion on a level pretty close in terms of road course dominance.

2. NASCAR finally decides to try something new in qualifying
If you've seen the attendance for NASCAR Sprint Cup qualifying at mostly every track in the last few years, you've realized that, to many, the format has lost its luster. NASCAR has yet to make a substantial change to fix some of that lost excitement on ovals, but it is making a change effective for this weekend's road course events.

It's about time.

Saturday, the Sprint Cup teams will qualify for Sunday's race at Sonoma Raceway in a group format. The cars will be evenly split in the groups and placed together based on practice speeds in the final practice session held Friday. Each group will have a set amount of time to qualify, and a driver's best lap during the timed period counts as the qualifying speed.

However, we don't know quite yet how many groups will run or how long the groups will be on the track. NASCAR's April news release on the subject says the race director will make that call. The weekend schedule has roughly one hour and 40 minutes set aside Cardinals 5 Albert Pujols Blue 2010 All Star Jerseys for Saturday's qualifying.

The Nationwide Series will use the same setup this weekend at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisc.

On Wednesday, a five-person Democratic Progressive Party panel approved former President Chen Shui-bian s application to rejoin the party. Mr. Chen, now serving a 20-year sentence at a prison hospital on corruption charges, left the pro-Taiwan independence party in 2008 of his own volition after he and his family were named in a batch of graft scandals.

Mr. Chen s membership status has been a divisive issue plaguing the already-fragmented party. Ex-DPP lawmaker Lin Cho-shui, who remains a party member and is now a news commentator, said welcoming a convicted official who is now the face of corruption sullies the party s reputation, a shameful disgrace.

From the view of political reality, by returning to the party, Mr.Chen will be the KMT President Ma Ying-jeou s best relief pitcher,鈥?Mr. Lin said. 鈥淢r. Chen s insistence on coming back will be a nightmare for any DPP leaders who are vying for a seat in the 2016 presidential election.

An editorial in the China Times (), a pro-China daily paper, said the move will make the party dirty by association and that any hopes voters had for the DPP are dashed.

Other analysts believe the timing of the party鈥檚 decision couldn t be better, as Taiwan is scheduled to hold a municipal election next year, followed by a presidential race in 2016.

Lai I-chung, a researcher at Taiwan Thinktank, agrees that taking Mr. Chen back could help solidify the party s support base ahead of elections.

There are still too many unknowns and unpredictable elements about the 2016 election, but there is no question that by allowing Mr. Chen to come back, it will greatly enhance party unity and smooth out some internal rough patches, he said.

All recipe entries had to comply with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's "MyPlate" nutritional criteria. The "MyPlate" system recently replaced the food pyramid as a way for people to ensure they eat balanced meals.
Contest entries had to represent each of the food groups, either in one dish or as parts of a lunch meal, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins and low-fat dairy foods, with fruits and vegetables making up roughly half the plate or recipe.
Taylor said Sakari loved shredding the zucchini in the food processor and separating the eggs.
To garnish the pancakes, they made a greek yogurt and cream cheese mixture to dollop on top.
In order to make the lunch recipe fit the "MyPlate" criteria, the grandmother and granddaughter duo decided to make a fruit smoothie.
"We make smoothies all the time, because I have a lot of fresh fruit growing in the yard," Taylor said.
They made a passion fruit and banana smoothie using greek yogurt, honey and ice to make the frozen blended treat.
Only 8 years old, Sakari does not fully comprehend the experience she is about to have, according to Taylor.
However, Taylor, who is attending the White House luncheon with Sakari, is thrilled.
"I'm really excited. I'm just beside myself," Taylor said.
This is the second year of the first lady's recipe challenge, and Sakari is the second V.I. student to meet Obama and eat lunch at the White House.
Ulla Muller Elementary School sixth-grader Gabriel Reed Jr. and his mother, Vanessa Wilkinson, were chosen last year.
"Our Kids' State Dinner is one of my favorite events of the year, and the kid chefs who come from around the country never cease to impress and inspire me with their creativity and ingenuity. I'm counting down the days until the winners join me at the White House to celebrate these healthy and delicious meals that kids everywhere will love," Obama said in a written statement.

ST. THOMAS - The Office of the Territorial Public Defender asked members of the Senate Finance Committee on Tuesday to consider a $4.5 million budget for Fiscal Year 2014.

"The time has come to expand our staff to improve on the current services we provide and relieve some of the burdens on the limited existing staff," Leycock said.
He said additional attorneys, counselors, an investigator, information technology personnel and secretarial staff are needed.
In addition to more staff, the office wants to construct a Public Defender's Office building in the St. Thomas-St. John District and asked senators to consider funding the capital project. The agency already has the property, it just requires funding for the construction, he said.
The expansion of staff is required as the territory's judicial system expands. The Public Defender's Office is responsible for providing legal representation to indigent clients in the V.I. Superior Court, the V.I. Superior Court's Magistrate Division and the V.I. Supreme Court.
The agency currently has 13 attorneys territorywide.

Futures Outlook for the Week of 06/27/13

Today I would like to spend some time on a [url=http://www.agoshow.net/Giants-55-Tim-Lincecum-Road-Cool-Base-Grey-2010-All-Star-Jerseys-79/]Giants 55 Tim Lincecum Road Cool Base Grey 2010 All Star Jerseys[/url] currency that has always been a heavy hitter so-to-speak, but has seemed a bit range bound for those that like to watch it longer term. The Great British Pound, even while somewhat stagnant in the big picture, always has a great deal of volume/open interest. I believe that the Great British Pound has a great deal of potential.

Great British Pound
When discussing the Great British Pound, I believe that it is extremely important to look at its history as well as it鈥檚 current condition. Living abroad, when I was much younger, I remember the Pound being in the 1.50鈥檚 and 1.60鈥檚. The funny thing is that now, a ballpark 20 years later, the Pound is there again and has been for a while. I tend to liken this to a home base for the Pound. These levels tend to be the comfort zone for this currency.

Per the chart above, which shows the range on the Pound from around 1971 through to present times, you can see that we have used the 1.50 territory as a baseline many times. The broad spectrum for its comfort zone over the last 45 years or so is between the 1.50 and 2.00. Now that鈥檚 a little broad for our scope, so we鈥檒l bring it in a little tighter than that, but I really want you to be attentive to and note the 1.50 as a psychological level as well as for its inherent support level value.

On today鈥檚 Daily chart for the Great British Pound, I have highlighted in blue, the ascending lows that may assist us in forming a bullish trend. In addition, I have added a bold black line across our 1.50 territory. For those of you who like to trade the channels, you might look at a shorter term bullish opportunity off of the numerous days of failure that just preceded. Over the next number of days, I would be watching to see if the Pound can rally a bit from where it stands currently.

Per the Weekly chart, you can see once again the 1.50 area highlighted in bold black. In addition, I have marked an ascending channel that we have been building for the bulk of this year. Note that if we are able to find support here again after a few weeks of failure, you would have a nice bit of rally potential. If you are looking for a position that lasts for months, you would need to be a little bit attentive if you jump in bullish in nature, simply because channels at some point always break. For the near term, short term perspective, I expect a bit of a rally. The ascending channel supports that direction, but I raise a caution flag on this for the mid-term simply because this pattern is already well-built and duration without interruption could be questionable.

Now, we come to the Monthly chart which illustrates just how 鈥渃omfortable鈥?the Pound has been over the last 4 years give or take. What used to appear on this chart as a potential for an inverted pennant formation has not seemingly lost some of its edge. The terrible hit that the Pound suffered between 2008 and 2009 has been just slightly mitigated by the return to its comfort zone. Narrowing the broad 1.50-2.00 range here, the monthly focus for me is between the 1.50/1.51 area and the 1.64/1.65 territory. This is the real range to beat. The caveat of course, would be the potential for the 1.50 to be broken down, if the Pound is a bear in hibernation.

I tend to be bullish the Great British Pound for duration over the long term. I view the next number of days as a good short term bullish opportunity that might fit nicely into the potential development of what could become a longer term bullish trend. The levels that I have given you are extremely important to watch, but your first priority on the long term of course will be to respect the 1.50 and aim for 1.65. The duration of the Pound鈥檚 recent stay within these levels is a bit long in the tooth for me. I believe that this range needs to break and I would love to see it become bullish for the next number of years. If however, I am wrong, then those of you that are bearish only need to sit tight and watch for a significant break of 1.50 to evaluate your play.
