Weblogging Forever

If you were a weblogger would you think we should get rid of the weblog? If you  were to tell the whole wide world that weblogging is so much fun would you do that? We'll you should tell the whole wide world because it helps you to write better and to have your own personal voice. The most important off all is to have your own personal voice. When your doing a weblog you should use descriptive writing, punctuation, lots of details, a good lead, vivid vocabulary, organization, and always end it with a thought provoking questions. These are some tips for not giving up on writing. Teachers need to understand that some kids are not doing well and need to improve writing and so we should still keep writing alive. Or in other words let other schools do weblogs to experiment on it and to see how fun it could be. Wow, and to see how much weblogs can improve writing and make a difference.

In our school we watch a program called CNN. It helps us understand what happens around the world. When we came to weblog we had time to share and let each other know more stuff about the news. That gave us ideas to weblog and to enjoy it. We started watching CNN when  we were in third grade and continue watching through fifth. I really like it because it gives us information. One of the most entriguring things I  learned about on CNN is the world largest plane. It can carry about 500 passengers and have more than 600 chairs TVs and was made in France.

Volley Ball

When you get home from school or over the weekend what do you like to do? Do you like to do sports do you like to play games? If you do, what games do you like to play? Well I like to play volley ball. I sometimes play at the beach with my family and have a good time. It's awesome to play games for the fun of it. I still play with my cousins . Even though some of my family has passed away I still  have a good time with some people. I still like soccer as much as I like to play other games with my friends and family. Do you like to play games? Do you ever get bored of playing the same game. If so, what will you do to change your mind of that game?

Australias toxic toad

In the morning when I came to blog I went to the current event site to find an interesting fact and it suddenly caught my eye.

The very poisonous cane toad is now one of Australia's most dangerous pests - so full of lethal chemicals it can kill a kangaroo.

They were brought over to Australia from Hawaii around 70 years ago to stop the spread of cane beetles. But now they're out of control and breeding so fast there are over 100 million of them. And they're spreading. Australian authorities are now so desperate to stop the toads spreading that they're offering a cash prize for someone to find the best way to round them up.

Using Algebra

What a great lesson plan by Victoria Pavlopoulos!

Project Name: Using Algebra to Prevent Forest Fires
Description of Learning Goals and Standards: Introducing the students to summation notation, the difference between humidity and temperature and how to find the humidity and temperature. Reviewing intercepts and slopes and applying them to real-life situations. Applying this information to determine how to prevent forest fires.
QCC Standard: Identifies the slope and intercepts of a linear equation.
QCC Standard: Solves problems that link concepts to one another and to practical applications using tools such as scientific or graphing calculators, computers, and manipulatives.
QCC Standard: Solve problems throughout this course that involve:selecting appropriate approaches and tools, using estimating strategies to predict computational results, and judging reasonableness of results

Thias was a great a post because it said it could help prevent fire and how to stop from making a fire.

Learning! Thinking! Writing!

What have you learned so far this year? The first thing that I learned is that knowledge is all about taking power. Not like someone is so strong or evil but it's all about that no matter what you do there is someone who is going to help you no matter what. The first time I came I thought it was boring but now that I'm here I really understand what the true meaning of weblogging and what it takes to be a weblogger. Boy! We have been kicking it into gear. It's great to be a weblogger because you just don't get comments from the peers around you but you get comments from people around the world. It's great to be a blogger because we also get to make new friends and comment to our friends.

I really think technology should be used everywhere in the whole universe

to add something in your mind. I also like to use computers. Do you like to use computers? Well I do and I would like to work in telecommunication.

In the beginning when we came in we went to our weblogs and read your comments that you wrote to us. When I was posting on my weblog she told me We also went to the write weblog and Mrs. Davis read all about yawl.                                                                   When we were finished reading we posted a comment back to your webloging and went to your website and saw all of the weblogs in the website

Then Mrs. Davis told us to go into one of your weblogs so we copied something that was useful for commenting to one of your post. We didn’t get to everyone’s post but we went to some weblogs and they were great I mean really really great.

Dear teacher-to-be

Dear training to be teacher.

My name in Juan and I'm in Mrs. Davis' weblog group. If you would like to be a teacher you should show respect  and give your students permission to speak freely. For example if  your student is left behind or in other words doesn't understand take a risk and help him or her understand. Help your students learn by giving examples and rewarding it so that it makes sense.

I had a teacher once that taught me  better sportsman ship, like if I  had a game that was really impoprtant to me  and if the other team won I would just congratulate the other team.

Another example is Mrs. Davis picked three boys to do BLOOM'S TAXONOMY. Jhonathan, Juan, and Marcos got to act a skit as if we were in a sports game.It is called keep calm at all sports events [Knowledge, Comprehension,Application,Analysis,Synthesis, and Evaluation.] We got to act crazy and them calm and can remember about Blooms' and good thinking.

Would you like to be one of these teachers?
