Alberto Gonzales

Alberto_gonzales_1 President Bush recently said that he would like for Alberto Gonzales to take John Ashcroft's old position as Attorney General. I think this is a good move for the President and the country.  Hispanic-Americans need more representation in our government as well as examples of succesful individuals to look up to.  I hope that Mr. Gonzales's appointment will help build a bridge between the President and those who didn't vote to keep him in office.

Four More Years

George_w_bush_04 Well, I haven't kept up with my weblog like I intended to and Mrs. McCullers has reminded me of it often.  So here are a few thoughts on current events:  President Bush has been elected to serve for 4 more years and it appears that, according to our Kid's Vote results, most students agree with the outcome.  Whether you like President Bush or not it sure is good to have a quick decision and know who is President without a lot of lawsuits and voting problems.  The last time President Bush was elected there was a huge fuss about it and we didn't find out who was really President until the Supreme Court told us 5 weeks after the election.  Personally, I'm glad its over and I hope that President Bush will do a good job.
