Final Post

This year has been a wonderful year for me as a weblogger. I speak for everyone when I say we will miss weblogging and our technology teacher Mrs. Davis. This year has been a wonderful, learning, and growing year for me. I really wish we could weblog next year. I really hope that if the people next year would have as much fun as I did during weblogs I will remember this year forever. It will be hard to say bye to everyone. The things I have learned this year in weblogging is that I can show my voice and I don't have to act like someone I don’t even know. I learned how to use my opinion in my writing. In other words I have learned an amazing amount of good things. There are no words to express how I fell about saying good-bye. I will miss everyone including Mrs. Davis. Thanks for a wonderful year WEBLOGS!!!

I Have Learned A Lot!

I have learned many things throughout the year from weblogs. When I first came to weblog group I really didn't like writing as much as I do now. The biggest deal for me that I have learned is to use your voice. I have learned that my voice counts in my writing. When you use your voice in your writng it shows your personality. In your own writng you should always write about your opinion. I'v also learned how to organize my weblog and how to make it the way I feel it should be. From the begining of weblogs to now, I really understand how my writng has improved. From the begining I really didn't write as much as I do know. In the begining I wrote 1 or 2 paragraphs now I write 1 or 2 pages, or more. I've learned how to make fantastic comments to my fellow students and how to respond to the people who commented on my weblog. If I had the chance to write on weblogs next year in 6th grade I would love to. Writng on weblogs really made my think of how good I can improve my writing abilities. I have learned many things from weblogging.

The Future Will Soon Come For Weblogs!

From the past time I have have been in weblogs I think it is a good source of writing abilities from students. I think for the future of weblogs it should be that the students who have free time should have at least 30 minutes from the class and go to another grade to interview on what they are doing in the class. Then they could go to the weblogs on the day of the meeting and write on how different the grade does than the other grade. The future could also be a weblog that the students want to write about but it should be educational but in your on way. You should make it the way your personality fits it. That's how I think the future for weblogs should be.

CRCT Testing

How do you feel about CRCT Testing?

In a way, I really think the CRCT is boring........snooze!!

I like that we can show our skills. The problem is that we do it every year for a whole week.

If you ask what students think about testing then my opinion is we should take a test every last grade we have so we can show what we learned in the previous years at the school.

If people judged us they should judge us on more than one thing. Such as instead of bubbling in circles, they should make us write essays about a topic. Writing is a good way to show what you know.

Weblogs

Today, my technology teacher Mrs. Davis gave me an extra report to do about Inappropiate Comments. Which she wrote herself. It gave me an opinion why weblogs shouldn't get closed by Inappropiate Comments.

This is my opinion on weblogs. (below)

Weblogs are a way of expressing yourself. If we didn't have weblogs many students would keep their emotions (feelings) inside. I have to say, weblogs are a way for me to coraperate with others. Many students respect weblogs ane trust it. Weblogs are amazing.
If weblogs get closed then many students would feel lonely. Weblogs should't get closed just because of some ignorant children wanting to show off. Weblogs make a difference in schools for students because they set their mind to it and put your best foot forward and they are not lacking on any of their work. Students learn better writing stratagies. Weblogs shouldn't get closed down especially because of bad comments because we can just erase them. If bad notes come around 4th or 5th grade
students it probably wouldn't mind because the note that are being typed they already know. So just erase them and get on with your life. Weblogs shouldn't get shut down they are to valuable for students.

Lonely Dreams

Once upon a time there lived a little girl named Jessica. She lived in Los Angelas, California. Her parents never paid any of attention to her. They never cared what she wanted or didn't want They always made her do what they wanted and that was it. She always dreamed of becoming a famous singer. They always wanted her to be a teacher. The kind of singer she wanted to be wa an R&B singer. When she had an audition her parents never took to her to them, it was always her friend's mother. Her friend was always the one who encouraged her to become a singer She had an amazing vioce just like the birds chirping in the spring. She made all of the auditions and became the lead character in the school play. She love to be in plays just to sing the joyous music. Her parents never came to any of her plays, they always say that it wasn't important. Jessica always felt alone when her parents didn't come to her plays. Her parents would always say they had better things to do.When she was a littlle bit older a scout came to her school. After that she made it on BET and MTV they are both t.v. shows that shows lots of music videos. When they asked her what her parents thought about her singing, she would always say she didn't know because her parents never wanted her to become a singer. She also said she had to make her dream come true all by herself. She told them that she never got any of their blessings. Now that she is famous and completed her dream her parents regret anything that they ever said about singing.

For my homework I had to look at any Time For Kids magazine to find different sentences or stories that had the "Six Writing Tips". I chose the story of To Young to Work, the story had many different kinds of examples of the writing tips.
Below I have put the writing tips and examples that I got from TFK.

Ideas and Content: (Do I have enough details?)
Valdemar Balderas was 12 when he started working in the field of Minnesota and North Dekota.
I think that this shows Ideas and Content because it tells all the detials that we should know for the begining of the story.

Organization: (Is my detials easy to read?)
Together,Valdemar and his parents earned $500 dollars a week for their hard work.
I think that this is a good part organization because it shows how they organized the writing to show that him and his parent got money for their hard work.

Voice: (Did I give my opinion?)
Quote:

"It's alot of hard work " Valdemar told TFK. He tells his opinion aboutthe work he does.

Word Choice: (Did I use different or interesting words?)
Every April, his family journeys north to begin months of geuling farmwork. He tells a different word such as journeys instead of saying goes.

Sentence Fluency: (Did I use complete Sentences?)
Many countries don't have laws to protect child laborers. This is extrodinary because he or she says what needs to be said and he gets it done.

Conventions: (Did I use correct punctuatation?)
Valdemar, now 14,lives in Eagle Pass, Texas. He uses the right kind of parts of speech such as commas and periods exactly where they are needed.

Fulton Count Murderer

I'm Maria Medley broadcasting at WWW.Weblogger.com

Friday March 11, 2005. Brian Nichols killed 3 people, injured one, and held one hostage. Killed a judge by the name of Judge Barnes, killed a police officer, and killed the court recorder.(the court recorder is a person who sits and types everything that is said in the courtroom.) He was sent to jail for sexual charges from his ex-girlfriend. He injured a deputy which suffered wounds. He was captured March 12.2005. He was holding a woman hostage. She called 911 from her Fulton County Apartment. They came with the Fulton County swat team. Which he had no choice but to surrender. He is now being held at the Federal Jail.

Explain what you think will happen to Brian Nichols.

Tips,Tips!,and more Tips!

Wow! There is a cool wedsight called Tips for Young Writers. It gives good tips to make your writing fantastic. I put some of them write below.

1. Re-write, re-write, re-write. Tear every sentence apart and analyze it.

2. Does it flow?

3. Is it passive or active?

4. The best writers use an active writing voice as much as possible. So instead of saying: “She picked up the pencil,” say instead, “She grabbed the pencil.”

5. Don’t sweat it if it seems to take a century to create something good, that’s how you learn. And with experience the writing process becomes easier. Promise.

If you have anyt tips be my querst and types some down.
