A fun and exciting event occured when I was in first grade. I voted for a new president. The election was between George W. Bushand Al Gore. Voting was fun because it was the first time I heard or learned anything about presidential events. Even though my vote did not count, I still believed George Bush was going to win. It was exciting for me because it was the first time I took part in an election. T started getting invovled with the debates, arguements, issus and declaring wars. When I was in 3rd grade, I really started getting invovled becuase we started to watch CNN and that was really exciting too. That really brought presidential events came to life for me. I like presidential event because it gets me invoved. I really liked watching President Bush make speeches to eeryone about our nation. Presidential event have been exciting for me.
Isn't it wonderful that we have the freedom to vote for whom we think is the best candidate. I am glad that you are excited about voting. Be an informed voter!

This is an interesting topic for me too, Maria! I love reading and learning about politics. I am so grateful to live in a country where we choose our leader! It is so important to be informed and have an opinion on your choice for president! See you at the polls on Monday!

What did you think about our election at school on Monday? How do you feel about this year's Presidential results? I thought it was going to be a lot closer than it turned out.
