I strongly believe our should have vending machines for teachers and students.
If our school ever got vending machines we could fill it up with healthy snacks instead of junk food. Not only will it be healthy but it would be nutritious but the kids would love it.Not only that but each snack would 25 cents and juices 50 cents.

It would be helping the students by waking them with cold water and juice. The students would love it because it would be filled nutritious and healthy snacks they enjoy.Even the teachers would like it. The last reason is the principal would make extramoney off it.Ms.Poole could use that extra money in many ways. She could use it for school needs or to pay teachers, staff, and the cafeteria ladies not to mention minimum wage increase that means teachers would be paid more. All of things I just listed are all reasons of why I think our school should get vending machines.Ms.Poole would love it.
Hi M.V.
I like what you said about installing vending machines in school, especially your idea to have healthy snacks. What are some of your favorite healthy snacks? I like peanut butter and apples. At the high school where I teach, we have vending machines with candy and sodas. Students eat junk food all day and get really hyper or tired. Have you been learning about healthy eating? My students do research projects about how to eat better. One of my favorite web sites about healthy eating is http://www.mypyramid.gov/kids/index.html Check it out and let me know what you think.

Having vending machines for both teachers and students is a good idea. I love to snack throughout the day especially when I am doing work and I’m sure many teachers and students at your school feel the same way.
I agree with you that the snacks provided in the vending machines should be nutritious snacks and not junk food. I think it is a good idea also that only juice and water be sold instead of sodas.
Your reasons behind why a vending machine would be good for your school are very convincing. Providing healthy snacks, keeping students alert during class, and raising money are all great reasons for having a vending machine at your school.
If your school were to get a new vending machine, there would have to be new rules put in place regarding the usage of the vending machine. What are some rules you think are necessary for using the vending machine? Would there be more than one vending machine? One for teachers and one for students? $0.25 and $0.50 for snacks are a little cheap, do you think the school would raise enough money to do the things you suggested if the teachers and students are only charged this much?

Hey Rebecca,
Well I have to say eating junk food isn't healthy at all I think you should talk to the principal about getting healthy snacks like lowfat peanutbutter crackers and a variety of healthy drinks.Oh and I'll have to say I like strawberries, kiwi, and apples. The only junk food I have at home is ricecrispies and some lowfat nutrition bars and I have been learning about healthy eating.
P.S.I loved the website you told me to check out and most of the things on there are magnificent to look at.What is your perspective of healthy foods you could have to change with the junk food.
