Lani posted about the snow in Ohio. She asked questions about the length of the icicles, asked for a idiom about it, and asked what is happening . I think the length is 5 inches. The icicles are sharper then shark teeth. It is so cold the pointy icicles are forming. The house owners could use those as chop sticks.

Hi Michael,
You are absolutely right!! The icicles are sharper than shark teeth! But I am thinking that they may be longer than you said. It looks to me as if that building is one story high; do you think? So if you measured from the floor to the ceiling in your bedroom, do you think that might be near the length? What would your measurement be?

lani, when you put it that way since my room is on the hill it looks like the icicles are a foot long. What is your mesurement?

Those are some icicles! The ones in the middle look longer than you Mike!
They remind me of staltite, it's sort of like icicles but it forms in caves and are made of minerals instead of ice. Here are some pretty pictures.

Hi Michael,
I think Aunt Mari is right; the ones in the middle are longer than you. Aren't you more than one foot? I was thinking around 60 inches? How about how many feet is that?

lani, I think 60 inches is 1 foot and 20 inches. how tall are[is] you?
Posted by: michael | March 06, 2007 at 09:33 AM
Hi Michael,
You asked how tall I am. I'm about 67 inches tall. Can you tell me how much that is in feet and inches?
Hmmm, I'm thinking that 60 inches is not 1 foot and 20 inches-- Do you think Mrs. C, Mrs. A, Mom, or Aunt Mari could help you with that?
