Flying Through Lunch

This evening, Katey tried out for the soccer team at school. Katey worked very hard, walking every morning and kissing every day after school. She was sure to be a shoe-in!

That was what we all thought until this afternoon at lunch. Katey was carrying her lunch tray filled with hamburgers, peaches, and cherries. She walked over to sit with the captain of the team, Maria. Suddenly, Katey got a terrible itch on her nose. She tried to scratch it, but instead she tripped over a(n) banner and sent the lunch tray flying across the cafeteria, where it landed on Maria's face and made a complete mess!

Katey was so embarrassed. She was sure she would never make the team. What she didn't know was that a similar story happened to Maria when she was trying out for the team. Maria accidentally threw bears all over the coach.

At tryouts this evening, Katey did great and Maria personally congratulated her on becoming the newest member of the team.

I like your story. It is very creative. I wonder why Katey was kissing every day after school. How did that help her play soccer? Also, I like that Maria threw bears at the coach. That would be something to see. I hope you keep writing stories. What other creative writing do you like to do?
