Once there was once a tale about an abandoned house that started like this. There was a boy named Edward and an old man told him a story about a mystical creature. This mystic creature was a leprechaun. This creature wasn't an ordinary creature. This leprechaun was a powerful and tricky sprite. He was also an elfin creature, and it often dressed in green, worked as a shoemaker, and was believed to know where hidden treasure was.
There was an abandoned house about 6 miles away from Edward’s house. The leprechaun was believed to live in that house from the Dark Age till now. That got Edward curious and he made a devilish smile. The next day Edward made a plan on how to get into the house. Edward scanned a six mile radius and walked up a hill to rest from all of that hard work. There behind him stood the abandoned house.
The house was very old and parts of it were broken off. There were some holes in the roof but it was no problem it had very minor damage. Edward ventured into the house and started to look around. The house smelled of rotting flesh. "Did a cat die in here or something!"As Edward snooped into the house he saw a huge plaque that read in big words "LIBRARY." He was taunting himself "should I stay or should I go"Edward said to himself.
He fled into the strange place like water. He stormed into the room and snatched books off of the shelf and put them into his back pack. Edward ran out of the library into the woods. He ran home as fast as greased lightning. He was extremely excited to open the first page to one of those books. He ran into the room and plopped on his bed breathing hard. Then he unzipped his book bag and pulled all of the books out of his book bag and put them on the bed.
Edward read stories about when the abandoned house was constructed and the people who lived there.and by time he was finish with the books he got to the last one. It had a silver and gold covering and the cover read "leprechauns." He was eager to open it. As he was opening the book his mom screamed "supper time!" After supper Edward had to take a shower and it was time for bed.
That night Edward left the book open. When he went to sleep the book shone in the dark. that light it produced was like a swarm of fire flies. Out popped a little man with green boots. BOOM! there was a loud noise from the leprechauns fall. The noise woke Edward and he was so scared he was sweating bullets. The leprechaun ran as fast as he could and out the door he went. The little creature darted into the abandoned house. Edward thought he had a dream, but he swore he saw something running. After that little dream Edward went back to sleep.
That next day Edward read the very last book. The book said if he ever encounters a leprechaun the only way to stop him is with his clover. The only way is to sprinkle the clover over his head and it will vanish.
Edward thought he would go back into the house and he did. He went to the library to put back the books he took. As he was putting back the books he saw saw a speck of green in the corner of the book and pulled it out. It was a four leaf clover! As Edward ran out the house he bumped into the leprechaun. He had the brains frightened out of him. He pulled out out the four leaf clover and scattered it over the leprechaun's head and it vanished. Edward would never in a million years go with in a 100 ft. of that house again.
