I want all of you who commented to me, to know that I thank you with all my honesty. The ups and downs discouragements and the encouragements made me over fill with joyous expressions. The joy of blogging passes all joy all but one. That happy thought is when I first saw a complicated actions of previous student blogs.
Lani, I want to thank you first because you commented to me when ever I felt truly discouraged. You said in such a way it was like a gentle whisper in the breeze. "that I surprised you." Did I truly and honestly surprise you big time?
Chris, When you commented on my first "The Disappointment Turned Great!" you discouraged me. Now I understand you just wanted it to be longer and have less exclamation marks. It touched my heart that you took a long time to go through and comment kindly.
Finally for the rest of you, you all touched my heart in a truly special way. May God bless. Never regret your choices, and have hope in your heart for all eternity. Good bye for now. Keep commenting truly from the heart.
Hi Mary,
Thank YOU for the lovely thank you! What a coincidence that you wrote "You said in such a way it was like a gentle whisper". I just wrote a post on my blog recently using that same term "whisper" when I described commenting to student blogs.
I love your wonderful way with words--
Have you made any resolutions for the New Year?
Best,
Lani

You are to kind Lani. Yes in fact mine are to start a garden and excersize. Do you?

Hi Mary,
I love to garden, although I'm certainly not a master gardener. We have a veggie garden, and some perennial beds. I think my favorite flowers in our garden are the pink peonies. They are magnificent in spring.
Would you call walking exercising? I walk with Harley, our German Shepard, twice a day. I really should do more than that; I think you've inspired me!!
Best,
Lani

Lani,
Yes I would call walking a type of excersize. I have paper whites growing at my home. I even have crocus and a rosemary bush growing in this weather!! Do you have herbs growing?

Hi Mary,
I do in the summer! It gets too cold in the winter. I grow basil, oregano, and thyme in pots on our deck and I grow peppermint and chives in the veggie garden. I love rosemary but haven't had a plant in some years.
We won't see crocus or daffodils until probably April.
With your interest in herbs, do you like to cook?
Best,
Lani

I do like to cook, but I can’t use herbs often. You are probably right we won’t see our crocus or daffodils until April. Have you ever had a paper white growing inside or outside?

Hi Mary,
I haven't had paper whites. I have to be careful with the flowers I plant as the deer are fond of many of them. That's why we don't have tulips; the deer think they are a great dessert! But the deer don't like daffodils, so we have lots of them.
Hmm, perhaps I should think about potting some bulbs for inside blooms. That's a good idea!
I love to cook! What's your favorite in the kitchen?

Lani

Lani,
Garlic definatly! When you cook what do you use?

Hi Mary,
I use lots of garlic and basil too! I grew lots of basil last summer and in the fall, I chopped it and froze it so I'd have it all winter.
Another favorite of mine is thyme! So good in different rice and soup recipes!
Best,
Lani
