Hi Mary,

You have done it again! Your words compel your reader to continue reading! "It just brings an endless waterfall of tears to my soul..." and "It is inhumane to rip an innocent family apart" are powerful sentences.

You indicated that what you learned: "It has changed my view of the south's past." How has your view changed? How will the change affect how you live your life or will it?

Best,
Lani

Hi Mary,

I predict that you just might write a book about the civil war and the south's past. I will be one of the first readers. This is a very thoughtful post and I watched you in class as you diligently searched for pictures. You are becoming a very good blogger.

I want to thank you for the gift of the picture of the red panda. I will treasure it and plan to have it framed and hung in a special place in my home. It is awesome! Are you thinking of including any more of your own illustrations on your blog? I hope so!

Keep up the great work!

Lani I never knew just how bad the slaves had it. Now I'm really glad none of my ancestors were born in Georgia. It will change my view of the south because it broke my heart I thought the south was good, but I was wrong. I don't like what happened, but it is in the past.

I might just write a book about the civil war. I am going to include several
drawings. Johnny helped me find the second picture, and gave an opinion on both.
