All the Disney and Nick characters can only be on things healthy because of the obesity in kids. The characters were drawing kids to eat unhealthy foods. So the companies are trying to draw kids to eat healthy foods such as fruits and vegetables. They are cutting out most unhealthy foods from theme- parks meals for kids. Only because they worry about kids health and don't want to make kids obesity grow. They will also remove junk food ads from its television. Here is the article. Do you know of another way to get kids to eat healthy?
Emmy-
I think it is really important for kids to eat healthy. I didn't eat a lot of vegetables when I was younger, and thought I didn't really like them. As I got older, and started to give more things a try, I learned that asparagus is my favorite food. Do you like asparagus? It is really yummy. My husband cooks it for me on our grill. I think that kids need to have an open mind to all different types of food, and be willing to taste everything. Foods like spinach and broccoli can be good if they are cooked right!

Emmy,
You found a great article! I agree with Ms. Scarbary that it is important for kids to eat healthy. Along with having an open mind about foods (broccoli is one of my favorites!) you can try to drink more water. Water is so good for you, and very important for your body. There are lots of good flavored waters that you can drink, even if you don't like plain water. Drinking water instead of coke or juice is a great way for kids (and adults) to be healthy!

Wow, this is a tough I must admit because I struggle with eating healthy every day. First of all, eating healthy is many times inconvenient. It costs more money to buy a bowl of fruit than to go to Mcdonald's and order a value meal. Also, buying fruit and vegetables many times requires more preparation than junk food. For example you can't drive and eat a salad at the same time. You can try, but it will be very difficult. But, drive and eat a hamburger? Now, that's easy! For people on the go, like me, it's hard to get healthy because you need food that does not require a lot of time or effort. For example, which is easier driving throgh a drive thru or cooking a meal? I think in order to get our kids to eat right we must model it for them. They will grow to like what their parents have fed them their entire lives. As an adult I feel that if I expect my child to eat healthy I have to eat healthy as well. Living by example is the best way to make this change. Don't you think?

Ms.Best Yes because if you eat the same things over and over they will think that it is really good. I have seen your blog and am wondering why your comments are off. I think you might get more iddeas of what to do if you turn comments on.

Emmy-
I like your article about the cartoons. I didn't know that the cartoons were trying healthy food. Then again, I don't watch cartoons that much.
Nice article. I like fruits and vegetables a lot. Do you? I especially like grapes, strawberries, broccili, and califlower. Once again, your article is really good.
