Wow! Victoria has knocked my socks off! She has already written her story about our year of blogging and it is exceptional  Hmmm what can I say? For starters.....

• The proof is in the pudding for this piece of writing!
• Victoria has stepped up to the plate!
• I made lots of pictures in my head while reading her story.
• I hear her voice!
• She definitely went for the gold!

Well done Victoria! I am so proud of you! Victoria earned this special post! She did her best and even completed it early! How about that? So I give a tip of the blogger's hat to her!

This one's for Chris!

I thought I'd post a little side conversation (raw and totally unedited) a few of us had in class about stories to unravel and the joy of working with pictures. The blogicians (Emmy, Victoria, Mary, and Lindsey) tell why they loved this activity. Sometimes hearing the words let's you really share the feelings these kids are having as they write/blog about her photographs. Kudos to M.V.!

Mr. Ahlness wrote a post Beyond Comments where he asked his third graders to write about 2 or more bloggers they enjoyed reading. I really like his assignment for the class. We'll talk about that today. We might want to do the same when we get back from spring break.

M.V. is really developing into a fine, young blogger. One of the things I have noticed is that he always takes time to comment on other blogs, especially other student blogs. Well we need to celebrate today because he has been recognized for his blogging by others outside our classroom!

Also M.V. from Blogical Minds has a good blog. He is right that if a school gets vending machines there should be healthy food in it instead of junk food. Isn’t there a law that bans bad food from schools? Oh well if there isn’t there should.

Emmy & Johnny Wowed the Legislators

Don't you think these caricatures of Emmy and Johnny are terrific? They represented you well at the legislative event. We'll see some awesome pictures today in class. Plus we will hear some spectacular podcasts and view their dynamic slideshow of questions.

An Artist in Our Midst

Did you know that we have an artist in our midst? Mary has drawn the most amazing picture of a red panda. It needs to be celebrated on our class blog. Mary spent countless hours perfecting her masterpiece. I am going to start a photo album of illustrations created by the blogicians! Mary will be first on that album. Join her! I know we have lots of budding artists in our midst!

I really look forward to reading Mary's post on her drawing of the red panda. Join me also in recognizing the quality of excellence Mary always brings to her endeavors.
