Hey, hey second graders! This is an exciting day for you! You've been blogged! Now what that means is that someone was impressed with your blogging and wrote about you for lots of other people to read. The SLJ Blog is a blog where you can find the "buzz" about libraries, learning and technology. SLJ stands for 'School Library Journal.' Amy Bowllan is the author. Here's an excerpt from her post:
...in Ms. Neville's class reveal some of their innermost feelings about writing. Here's what Mimi said, "What I like about writing is that I get to share what’s happening and what I’m learning." Julia says, "I find writing hard because it makes my hand hurt. I enjoy picking out my topics because you are creative." And Ian says, "What I like about writing is using your mind and picking topics. Once you get started it's really easy."
Wow! Mimi, Julia and Ian were quoted! That is special! Amy also went on to recognize the rest of you. She said, "Who says the little ones can't blog? BTW, there are more students in Ms. Neville's class with adorable writing posts to their class blog."
I am so delighted that I will see you this afternoon! Our session is going to start off with a bang, thanks to the nice post from Amy Bowllan. She has another blog, too. It is called "Life in The 21st Century." Here's one special post she wrote about her daughter entitled, My Daughter My Friend. One of the cool things about blogging is all the nice people you will share conversations with as you are learning. See you soon!
How wonderful it is to be recognised.
I was recognised for International Blogging Womens' Day by Jo McLeay, which surprised me and then made me really happy.
Well done guys. I'm glad she quoted some of your words on writing.

Thank you for the wonderful post. If there were no such things as blogs, our paths would never have crossed. SLJ readers are always interested in hearing from our future authors, readers and leaders. Many thanks,
Amy Bowllan
