Today we spent the first hour collaborating in the K-Station. Every student was ready and prepared. They had done their homework. Hats off to all of you students!
Each student shared one of the introductions they had created. Then as a group we thought about it, shared ideas, why we liked it or did not like it, how it might be improved, and anything else that came into our minds. Then we were off to the lab.
Students joined the website and then created their first posts. You could feel the excitement in the air. They responded to the news story about "Students Viewing Websites". If any of you get a chance, take a look at what they wrote and I know the students would be delighted to hear from you.
Students, two assignments for next week:
- 1. Learn about Paris, France
- 2. Make good introductions based on news you learn from CNN Student News. You could also use events learned on other sites such as Time for Kids, etc.
It took us a while to post as we had to wait a bit. Next time we will try to get time to explore the tools at the top of the text box where we post. We should have some fantastic current events introductions to share.
Students, explore away! Enjoy and remember to listen, learn, create, and write. I think you did a fantastic job this morning. Keep it up!
