Tigers are an endangered species. In the 1920's there used to be about 100,000 tigers now there are only about 20,000 left. People all over the world are trying to help them survive by putting them in zoos, but maybe in a few years they will be extinct.
Tigers are solitary animals they do everything alone. They do have a family, but they stand 10 feet away from each other. They only come close to each other for eating. Their cubs have to stay with their mothers. When they are lost they give a roar to let them know where they are. Tigers are one of the animals that have good vision in the day and night. Like many other animals they have sharp teeth.
Grrr...tigers are one of my favorite animals as well! The Bengal Tiger is so beautiful to look at, but I'm not sure I would want to get too close! It worries me that this fascinating animal could soon be extinct. I'm afraid that we are not very careful with our earth or our animals! I think that being knowledgeable about these animals is the first step in helping them! Keep up the good work!
