An Odd Animal

Today we went to Wacky Web Tales we had a lot of fun.

The Adheres is an animal that has silver fur with goofy green spots on its toes and ears. Its tail is shaped like a earing, which it uses to burp dragons. An adult Adheres may weigh more than 7458 pounds and stand over 9623145 feet high.

The Adheres can be found only in Germany and Brazil. Although its favorite food is cheetos, it also likes to eat prizes. If you ever see a Adheres, be sure not to ever sing "Burn." That song makes it fluffy. Instead, give it a few cheetos and be on your way.

Learning at School

We have learned a lot of things since we started school. We have learned about weblogging, technology, and current events. I thought blogging was posting a story on your blog. It is, but it is also about reading other people's blogs, and enjoying what you do. I love learning about technology. I like that almost every week we learn how to do something new with the computer, like inserting a picture in one of your posts. We have learned about writing the most. How to check our work and have good endings and beginnings. We have also learned about current events. We have been watching CNN since third grade and now it really helps us because it won't be so hard to write stories about CNN.we Have learned so many things I can't name them all. I hope that other people get the chance to learn and experience what we have.

This was because the cease-fire deal with the Palestinians last week. Some people think it could be dangerous because of all those prisoners being released.

A Thing I Like

A thing I like to do is hangout with my friends. I have lots of friends so I guess being with them is like recess.I wish there was some kind of job that you could do that all day. Most of the times they come over to my house and watch movies. Sometimes we play games. the games we play are like monopoly or checkers. Even though we see each other at school it seems like it's not enough time to talk to each other. We always talk on the phone for hours and we have a lot of fun. Tell about something you have done with your friends lately.

A Really Big Thing

Today I read a story about a tall horse. The horse was from Britain and it is called Cracker. He is as tall as a bus. IHe is sixteen years old. I think that it is amazing that animals could grow that big. Then again dinasours were huge. Maybe animals are going to start growing real big. The horse was 19.5 from the foot to the shoulder. Cracker drinks twenty-nine gallons of water a day. Write a story talking about what you would do if you found a stray horse as big as cracker.

Learning Something New

Over a few months we have learned so many things. The time goes very fast and we don't realize that we have learned anything. We have learned about writing great articles and learn how to make people read them. We learn about current events too. Every week we choose one to write about. We learned that over-used adjectives make your writing boring, but if you use exciting ones you will have more audience. We learned how to mke our sentences in a special way that makes it interesting. Mrs. Davis taught us to start our comments by giving us ideas on a sheet of paper. Now we are learning how to do really cool things with the computer. We are putting pictures in our posts.  We have learned so many things and I hope that we keep learning more. Explain what you like to learn about.

A Bad Tragedy

Today I read a post on Maria's post called Tsunami News.

It was a very sad story, but interesting at the same time. It talked about how the tsunami hit Asia. There were a lot of deaths and it was a bad thing. Her post made me think that people should always care for each other. I am glad that a lot of countries are helping and maybe you can do something about it too.

Get Well Ashley

Ashley, you are a great friend and I hope that you get better. I am so sorry that you were in a car accident. Even though you were annoying sometimes you were and always will be a great friend. It is good that you are coming to school on Monday. I miss you and hope that you can get over your accident soon. When I heard the news I was sad because I remembered how we use to laugh in class.

My Exciting Day

On Thursday when I came into the classroom it was a very exciting day. First we read the comments on the posts from last week. Those comments were making me so happy. It was beginning to be a great day, and the fun kept coming in. We read from the class blog and we all commented on Sara’s post. Then we went to the webblogs from the students at Georgia State. We learned what weblogging really is about. It’s about reading and responding to them in anyway you want. We copied their posts in word because we are learning a brand new skill. Then we responded to them and told why we chose the story and why we liked it. This has been such an exciting day. I hope that all the days are like this one.

Dear-Teacher-to-be

Dear-Teacher-To-Be,

My name is Paulina. I am 11 years old. Mrs. Davis is my teacher, and I am in the fifth grade. I'm glad that you want to be teachers because there are a lot of kids that need you. I hope that you will be the kind of teacher that likes to help and is interested in the kids work. I think that kids like teachers that make learning fun so they won't be bored. They will be interested in fun educational games, but you can't let them go out of control. You also need to be nice, but at the same time stern. When you teach you should look interested and ready to teach. They have a lot of expectations of you. For example they want you to respect them and to help them in whatever they have problems in. They expect you to treat them equally like the rest of the students. soon you will know each of your students and you will know how to treat each one of them. I hope you will follow what I said and you will always be a great teacher.
