A Really Big Thing

Today I read a story about a tall horse. The horse was from Britain and it is called Cracker. He is as tall as a bus. IHe is sixteen years old. I think that it is amazing that animals could grow that big. Then again dinasours were huge. Maybe animals are going to start growing real big. The horse was 19.5 from the foot to the shoulder. Cracker drinks twenty-nine gallons of water a day. Write a story talking about what you would do if you found a stray horse as big as cracker.

Ivan the Frightful

In Jamaica, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia there was a terrible hurricane called Ivan. The hurricane killed about twenty-three people. It made lots of floods and people were without electricity for days. People were evacuating, but some didn’t care and when Ivan hit they didn’t have time to go to a safe place. Ivan was a category four hurricane. I wish I new more about the category four and what it meant. Ivan hit New Orleans after it destroyed Jamaica and Cuba. Ivan was not showing any weaknesses and it was going very slow, and when they are slow they are more destructive. State how you would have felt if you were in that hurricane

Tigers

Tigers are an endangered species. In the 1920's there used to be about 100,000 tigers now there are only about 20,000 left. People all over the world are trying to help them survive by putting them in zoos, but maybe in a few years they will be extinct.
Tigers are solitary animals they do everything alone. They do have a family, but they stand 10 feet away from each other. They only come close to each other for eating. Their cubs have to stay with their mothers. When they are lost they give a roar to let them know where they are. Tigers are one of the animals that have good vision in the day and night. Like many other animals they have sharp teeth.
