Good morning and welcome to this special edition of The Right Weblogger(Me)
The Religious Education Debate:
Many student at one school in Staunton, Virginia are going to a different school in the middle of the day to take a religion class. About 10 years ago, the Supreme Court announced that this could be allowed, because the classes weren't held on school property. It would not have been allowed if the class was held on school property. This is because it would have been a violation of the church and state ruling.
Some student's parents are against this class. They feel that since almost all of the other children are out of the class, the teachers aren't giving much instruction. When the children who are taking the class come back, they are telling other students things. Things like " your a bad person because you don't take my special class". I feel that it is not these kids fault that they aren't going to the class. It's not the parents "fault" either.
Most of the parents feel that they shouldn't have this class in the middle of the day, that's why they have church. I also feel the same way.
This was the Right Webblogger, over and out!!!
I really agree on the report that you did.
It is almost like me because 2 years ago I had to miss my favorite subject in school, GYM!! Because I had to go to religion.
