About Me and My Family

My name is Shelby –Lynn Swann and I was born in Snellville, G.A, but was raised all my life in Conyers, G.A. I have one little brother and I live in a house with family all around.
Both of my parents work full time except for weekends (of course). Sometimes my father has to work on Saturdays because it is his inventory day. Now,when I say that it is his inventory day, I mean that he works for Plumbers Distributors Incorporated, and that he has to count up all of the sink and toilet pieces.
My father is my softball coach and I think he does a wonderful job at it. One night my father encouraged me to hit the ball all the way to the outfield. That same night, I made so many plays that I could hardly count them all! To me, my father is a very inspirational person. I love him with all my heart.
My mother is very, very hard working too. She works at a place called Rennasance Management. What she does is plan a place to have a convention and places set up workers to set the exhibit up.
My mother is my best friend. We go and look for clothes so that I can dress nicely. In the mornings, she is my rooster to wake me up. She is my beauty parlor lady telling me to make sure that I clean my face and that I wash thoroughly. She helps me fix my hair in the mornings so that my frizzes won’t get the best of me. I love her with all my heart.
Both of my parents comfort me when I am sad, and both of my parents love me very much. Both of my parents give me a kiss at night and in the morning. Do you hear the key word BOTH? That means that BOTH of my parents love me very, very, very much and I love them too.
Even though my little brother, Daniel, is a major pain, I still love him as well. Daniel and I usually get into fights but it always ends up with a hug thanks to my parents. My brother is having a little trouble with school. School has always been a problem for him so whenever I have the time, I try to help.
Around the house, I have chores. Oh, yeah, did I tell you that I have two cats? Oh, yes, their names are Jet and Jazzimine. They are apart of my chores. Their parts for me are cleaning their catbox and giving them fresh food and water, each day. Yuck!!! More chores that I have to do are to make my bed, make my mom and dad's bed, wash the dishes, when the dishes are clean I have to put them away, straighten up the house, put away the clothes, and on Thursdays I have to vacuum the whole house.
I am a very active girl, like I play softball, and when I come up to bat, all the girls in the outfiled backup. That's only because I'm a powerful hitter! I would go on, but it would take me two days, BYE!!!

My First Post

My name is Shelby and I am in Mrs. Tobler's 5th grade class. I'm 11 years of age and I love school. I am a very emotional person. When I say emotional, I mean that, well, lets say that if I were away from home for a long time, and I heard a slow song, I would start to cry. Any type of slow song can you believe that!? I LOVE to play softball. My father (who just happens to be my coach) says I am very good at what I do. People tell me all the time that I am very, very good at singing. Last year Mrs. Goode put on a play called "The Granny Awards" and I was the character Snow White. From that day on when I would walk down the hall people would say, "Oh, hi Snow White, how you doi'n Snow White!
