Four More Years

Have you ever wanted to run for president? Have you ever wanted to give a speech in front of the whole world? Well, I have a quote from President Bush after he was re-elected.

" I promise to take this spot in the government and make it stronger than it ever was. I will make the right choices and think about the citizens of The United States. I will bring forth justice and I will take the responsibility of making this land peaceful, and at war.Though I have said all of this, one of my priorities to have trust in the people. America has spoken and I am humbled by the confidence of the citizens."

I have alot of faith in Bush. On November 3,2004, Senator Kerry called up Bush on the phone the morning after the election was over and told him he had won the election fair and square. Kerry just didn't have enough votes to win. Nearly 120 million voters voted on election day. That is just just under 60% of all eligible voters. In 2000 only about 105 million voted.

Bush won 51% of the popular vote and Kerry won 48.5% of the popular vote. Ralph Nader only won 1% of the popular vote (that just goes to show that not all people in the elections are liked). Out of 50 states, only 19 of them voted for Kerry. So that means that 31 of the 50 states voted for Bush, and guess what, Georgia was one of them! " ''I hope to full fill my duties" This, was said by President Bush.

America Votes 2004

On November 2, 2004, people who had the right to vote voted. It was a tight race between President George W. Bush and Senator John Kerry. Ralph Nader was also on the ticket in some states, but not all. He is the type of candidate that runs so that if you don’t want to vote for one man or the other, you could vote for him. Talking about same sex marriages, talking bout high taxes, and fighting toward each other all of the candidates stood tall. On November 3, 2004 Senator John Kerry made a phone call to President George Bush and said that he had won the election fair and square. President was up 2 million more votes than Senator Kerry!!!

Also on November 3, Kerry gave his goodbye speech and gave thanks to everyone who had trust in him. Even though Ralph Nader wasn’t really popular in the election, he still ran for president anyway. President Bush and Senator Kerry were good men and even though they may have had doubts in themselves, they still ran in the race for the spot of being the president of the United States of America!!!
