Students are in the midst of testing so naturally they had lots to say about testing. I'd like to note again that students' postings will be posted "as is." They will be unedited in order to view progress over the year. If time allows, sometimes we may go back to a post and share our edited, corrected copy. We only had a short time to post thoughts about testing. Here goes!
Hi! Once again I am here. I wanted to asked you about the test. I was very scare at first but then I saw is it was easy well the first part then it started to get hard. I feel like Is had [butterflies] in my stomach. The bad part was that the test parts were timed.
Some of them were 8 min.some were 10 min. Only one was 12 min. Can you belive it only one was 12 min !

How I did in my test
I start to feeling a litte scare in my test I start very well but when we start to do math I was wery about doing something roang and I come down and I start to do my test . I did not know that it was diferent from others I have taken it had diferent shaps and it was very easy the first question was easy but the second question was a little hard

TIME for TESTING
We had to switch our desks around first. Then the COGAT test began. Mrs .Mateling read the diretions. We had to take one part in ten min. The other section took about ten or twelve min. One of the sections was eight min! The test had some easy and hard parts. The easy part of the test was english. The english had three sections. The Sentence Making the prase section,and another section.

Oh No! Not Another One!
Oh no! Not another test! Last week we took the COGAT test. I was a little nerveous, but I was ok after we started it. I thought the test was sort of easy at the end, but at the beginning it was hard. If I had a chose I would take it because then I could test my abilities to see what I can and can't do. On the test I thought math was the easiest out of the whole test. Next week the fifth grade and second grade will have to take the ITBS test. I hope I do well on that test. I think that I will do fine if I try my hardest. Well that is all I have to say, Bye!

Testing 2003-2004
Do you like testing?I do sometimes, but it depends on the subject.My favorite subjects are Math and Science.When we where testing this week it wasn't that hard.The part that I didn't like was the part we had to figure out what shape was what because the shapes had like different figures inside of them.The name of the test was the Cogat.The thing you had to worry about was the time because you had to think alot.You don't have to worry about it sometimes but on long run you do.You have 10 to 12 minutes to finish the part your on. Well thats all I can think of right now see ya later

Testing Week!
On Monday our teacher told us that we had to make sure to get enough sleep and eat a good breafast to be ready on Tusday. On Tusday I went to Breakfast ast at school,and when at was doing my test I felt much better.The first part of the test was easy ,but then it started to get harder.The hardest part for me was the end of the test.I think I did well. Well. I got to go.

A,B,C,Or D?
On Fridays, don't you just love taking test after test? Of course not, but this test is more than a math or spelling test. It's a 3 day IQ test and its called the COGAT Test. A hour a day test with some troubling questions. Jenny said she was nervous before the test but all in all, it was a pretty easy test. I truly agree, but you only have around 10 minutes for each part of the test, and after 7 minutes, and you still have a while to go, you get rushed, some of the questions where you have to find the picture that goes in the pattern are flustering! My teacher told the class to eat a good breakfast, and if you don't eat breakfast at all, eat somthing. My teacher also said that oatmeal was a good source of brain food. Also we were supposed to go to bed early (some people didn't though). The day of the test I was nervous too, like Jenny and I was shocked of what little time we had to answer 20 or 25 questions. I had to answer about 3 questions per minute! ACK!!! At least the test is over now, wait, what did I just hear? The ITBS test is next week? A longer test? About 2 hours a day all week? OH NO NOT AGAIN!!!!!

We have some really good thoughts here about testing. The students are beginning to put their thoughts together and we can understand their feelings about testing. I am proud of this group that they are willing to learn on-line and share that process with others. That takes courage!
Jennifer is 10 years old. She has been 6 years at school. She likes J.H. House. She likes dogs and cats. She specially likes cats that are tabbies (like the picture at the end of this story). Jennifer has a sister. She likes to ennor her. She likes Art. She is a good drawer. She loves to draw. Her favorite color is red. She likes soccor, of course she is a soccor star! She likes Mrs. Tobler class, and this group. She likes to type. She has many best friend (I hope I can get to be her friend) She likes to go to the mall and ride her skiter. If I have to descrive Jennifer I will say she is nice. She is very smart She is friendly and she is very special.
