These are some things that you should remember while writing .

1. Ideas & Contents- Make sure that your  writing seem like if it is coming out. Make sure that you have all of the details that you want.
2. Organization- Is your topic in order? Does my topic make sense?
3. Voice- Do I think and agree that my topic is understandable?
4. Word Choice- Have I used different words instead of repeating them over and over?
5. Sentence Fluency- Did I make my writing seem a lot?
6. Conventions- Does my writing flow with every part of my story, even my title?

I agree with you I think that when you are going to write your piece, think about spelling, and if it sounds right and more! but you check first.
